**PRAYER THREAD** (merged)

Prayers for you and your sister, 6th.

I'm in Texas again for mom and dad's 50th...supposed to be thunderstorms tomorrow morning....praying for a break in the weather, so it turns into a nice day. My sister and I are planning on surprising them with a duet....we need some courage. :)

Getting woken up to "you have to drive grandma to the emergency room" first thing in the morning is frightening. It brought back a lot of pain from a several years ago with another family member.

Yes she is much better now, thank you for asking. She has been losing a lot of weight and they ran a lot of test, but found nothing. She was on an IV for an hour yesterday, she must have been dangerously dehydrated and I hope that is all there is.

Thanks for the update, Mad D. It gives us an opportunity to change our prayers from pleas to prayers of Thanksgiving.

Update on my stepbrother. He was told, about 7 months ago, that there was no problem and to come back in 6 months. When I saw him in January, he looked bad. When he went back to the doctors, after 6 months, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. In fact, it was already in Stage 4.

He, along with 5 other men, have been placed in a trial program with 5 different specialists. Things do not look good. However, I believe in the power of prayer. Please continue to pray for him, that what they try will have a positive effect. :(

My goodness, 6th. My thoughts and prayers for your stepbrother.

The same for your grandmother, Mad D. Sometimes older people just start to lose their appetite and can even forget eat, because they don't feel hungry. I hope she will be fine.

My elderly aunt has a herniated disc and some other issues with her spine. She's been in quite a bit of pain and is having surgery this coming Friday. So please send some positive thoughts her way. Thanks. :)

i would also like to extend my prayers to all of you too...may God give you the love and grace that you need to over come all your adversities..

i also would like to ask for prayers this june 08.. on that day it will be a year since my dad died... he died of cirrhosis it was really sudden we didnt know how to react.. those were my darkest days and i thank God above that i am still sane and i was able to perform in school and not breaking down and going to a downward spiral... though there is that void i could never fill any more... im so sad he wont even see me be as good a father as he is...nor as good as a man that he was.. i pray for him and hope that hes still watching over my family :(

Aenadin: You certainly will have my thoughts and prayers with you. I lost my father suddenly when I was 19, almost 40 years ago. He lives and is loved in my heart, as I'm sure your dad is in your heart.

Aenadin, my prayers are with you and your family. Yes, I'm sure he continues to watch over you. And, I thank God that you had the help you needed this past year.

My prayers for all those who've asked...Mad D for his G-ma, 6th for her step-bro, kennadog for her aunt, and Aenadin for comfort on the anniversary of losing her father. It's a priviledge to pray for you, my friends.

I've also got a request...my friend Abagail will be going back to another doctor tomorrow, for the third time since Friday. She has a lump in her neck and they keep doing more tests to try and figure out what it is. She had an ultrasound today and was told that there are 2 things...1 is a cyst and then there's another something that they can't figure out, so.....back to another doc. Thanks.
