Looks like Zach is unhappy and may want out of Portland. He doesn't fill the blatant holes we have like shotblocking and size plus he has a huge contract. However, he's is talented, could be a 20/10 guy, is a decent rebounder, and his stock is pretty low right now so he might be attainable for a Thomas/Corliss package. Certainly wouldn't be my first choice for offseason move, but what do you guys think of him as an upgrade?

I'm sure Reef would love coming off the bench behind him again ;)
 
Hell no. Zach Randolph is worse on defense than Brad and Mike combined. Brad+ZBo would be a permanent 5 on 3 fastbreak for the other team. The guy has problems(bad attitude) and a bad knee he had surgery on. I'm kind of a portland fan and I know he's NOT what we need, he's more like the exact opposite.

I was once a Randolph fan, but his stock has plummeted with me over the last couple of years.

I don't think I would trade KT (and filler) for Randolph just to be making a trade. As you said, he would still not give us the inside presence we need, and he is not as good a rebounder as Kenny.
 
Zach isn't the guy we need or want. He's a pretty good player. But, we need a defensive big-man who doesn't need the ball much to be effective.

Hmmmm! Does that preclude anyone that has had it....like an Amare for instance?:eek:
 
Hate to say it but I was also a fan of Zach Randolph. Until I realized he's a fake version of Webber except he can't pass, play defense, undersized and etc...

He does one thing really good and thats shoot the mid range jumper. But unfortunately thats all he has in his game.
