ReturnOfTheKings
Prospect
I think a lot of Kings fans are going to love this guy. Evans and Cassipi are getting a lot of deserved attention, but don't underestimate Brockman. He may actually turn out to be a great team leader. The kind of guy we need who sparks the team. We don't really have any motivational leaders on our team. I think Brockman will be one of those guys. Scott Pollard with a lot more fire and hustle.

Height and jumping ability are not the only key characteristics of a great rebounder. Positioning, quickness, timing and heart are perhaps even more important.
Although he was listed at 6'8" to 6'10", Dennis Rodman was really 6 feet *6 1/2* inches tall. So a guy shorter than Brockman averaged 13.1 rebounds per game throughout his carrer with a high of 18.7 RPG during the 91-92 season. Rodman was also a *great* defender and it wasn't because of he could jump and block shots. (Brockman should watch film of Rodman if he can find some and study both his rebounding and defense.)
Charles Barkley was/is 6'5" tall (some say 6'4"). So another guy shorter than Brockman averaged 11.7 RPG during his career.
Brockman's game against Purdue was his best ever, especially his relentless and powerful rebounding. He went up another level that game against tough inside competition. Right now, he is capable of outrebounding most power forwards in the NBA.
Great rebounders are very hard to find. The taller guys don't know or can't execute the finer points of getting position. If he plays like he did against Purdue (he's capable of playing even better) he will do well in the camps and he should make the NBA.
