The Sacramento Kings had a horrible 2010. The one bright spot was Tyreke Evans and his Rookie of the Year Award. Is there any reason to feel good about 2011? Probably not! Unfortunately the predictions for the Sacramento Kings in 2011 are all bad. 5. Paul Westphal will be fired. As of the end of 2010, the Sacramento Kings had the worst record in the NBA. There is a glaring lack of court communication, court awareness, and team chemistry. Paul Westphal is a good coach.

hmmm. I disagree with most of these, but that is not to say some won't come true. My caveats:
5. Westphal will only be fired if kings no show real signs of improvement as a team. So far, I think author has just cause even along these lines, but I'd give Westphal most if not all of the rest of the season to turn it around. Unless a seasoned, proven coach falls in our lap, which is highly unlikely, or a player mutany ensues, I do not expect a change. .
4. Not sure where he is getting this on the Maloofs. If the arena deal continues to go south, then yes a move might become inevitable, but not sure what evidence he has to prove detachment at this point.
3. I do not see Thompson at the top of that list - not sure why he wouldn't even mention Landry in this discussion. We'd really have to get value for Thompson to do a trade, but he's among the last of our youth that I would trade beyond reke and cousins at this point. It would be a stupid trade moneywise, and I doubt we get a piece we need in return.
2. could be, but it depends on whether 2 of the last 3 games are actually the beginning of something positive or "feels good but no baby" shooting of blanks in the night. I'd give them another week or two before deciding such a dasterdly fate.
1. Man, that is just a downer. Just a depressing prospect. But isn't it about even odds that we don't get the top pick, even with the worst record?

Yeah, this is a pretty bitter, pessimistic viewpoint from (as far as I can tell) some random dude. The thing about the Maloofs being detached has been pulled out of thin air, he says that the Kings are going to look to shed contracts then immediately contradicts himself by saying they'll trade Thompson despite pointing out that Thompson is cheap, is a bit out of date claiming that out pace is to win 15 games when it is now 18.5, then fires off a general complaint about the lottery system. But it's some random dude who managed to get himself on a newsfeed, so, whatever.

And actually, the odds of the worst team getting the top pick is less than even odds - it's only 25%.

And I thought I was feeling down about the season. Now I feel like a downright pollyanna. ;) (that's supposed to be a wink....I should just type wink, wink)
