To hell with how "beautiful" the offense is, the guys that have been playing since Abdur-Rahim and Stojakovic went down have been playing hard. They players know their roles now; they have been competing on both ends of the floor. And they have been successful.

I think it would be folly to believe that it was little more than luck. They may have been playing hard - but they weren't playing all that well really.
That team was not really capable of long term success.
The "results" were due to everyone contributing and Bibby/Miller playing out of their skull. If we could have gotten half of that production out of the bench and from Mi-bby, we'd be staring down the barrel of a pretty good run to the playoffs.
I think this team is capable of winning on a consistent basis - but I think to do this we need another approach. The system we run just isn't right for these troops.
We need a new system and we need for our entire roster to come to play.
Didn't Kenny get benched and Reef played down the stretch in a close game against a weak opponent and we lost? Didn't Reef have the last shot at it and once again he couldn't produce when we needed it most? Don't get me wrong Reef has played good considering his injury and he isn't why we lost that game, but his play down the stretch re-enforced the arguments against him more than it did anything to dispel them. In all honesty neither Kenny or Reef is the right guy for the job.

The man only took one shot in overtime and that was it, and did play pretty good d on dwight. And shareef only played half the over time not the whole session so remember that too. And also the important 3 point play he had in the 4th period if i remember correctly and had 5 rebounds in his limited play. So don't bring up that last shot up he did many other things. If instead of taking so many damm jumpers and missing it we could have gave it more to sar in the post for a high percentage shot, and won that game.
One thing fans forget when discussing relitivly young bench players with limited history in the NBA is that the coaching staff has seen these guys paly ALOT while we see limited min relitivly unique situations. I suspect that Hart has shown a lot in practice that thus far has yet to translate into game time play. Another example form this years kings is Garcia. If you look back at preseason and early season play he looke awfull and many of us said so, but the word from Jerry Renolds and other guys that had been watching him in practice was that this guy had a kiler shot and good moves to the hoop... now after getting some long min and some starts most of us skeptics are gald to see Garcia hit the court. I suspect that there will come a point where the coaching staff may give up on Hart, but to be fair he HAS had moments where his defense was dam good and for a non-sooter his shot is NOT that bad.
He was fouled 3 times on the one play. I hardly think you can blame Reef for the refs swallowing their whistles.
If you look back at the last year Reef was a starter he was one of the top 20 players in the league in clutch play. Even with that, I'm not a fan of giving the ball to a PF/C for the final shot. Refs tend not to blow the whistle and there is far more contact. It's a better and smarter play for a guard to try to create some space and get a decent look.
Nice to see you so full of support for SAR's team. So you're allowed to be as negative as you like about the team but none of us is supposed to say or even deign to think anything less than superlative about Reef?
I've realized something. I LIKE SAR. It's some of his fans I'm not too impressed with.

I'm negative about how fickle people have been. Reef goes down with an injury and the bench steps up their play and all of a sudden it's KT to save the day.
The only way to dispel this nonsense is for the team to experience some problems --- just as the only way to say Reef isn't playing well is for him to .... not play well.
It's not that I hope or wish for the team to play poorly - but I'm not suprised and it only reinforces what I've said in the past about the issues of the team having more to do with the entire team playing better.
I think the team has enough talent that if the bench were playing up to the level they are now ... then we'd be well above 500.

Like I said, niether one of them is the right PF for the job... also like I said Reef did not lose us that game last night, but once again he didn't win it for us either.
