Yes I think a healthy Bledsoe would make most King fans happy.
Not sure how happy Phoenix would be though.

Well...possibly. Everybody overvalues their stuff.
Fact is they are players with some long term potential who got hugely overhyped and then did marginally more than jack and crap in their rookie seasons. I don't see either as truly available, so I don't think suggesting we trade for them is very realistic. But in some sort of grand "who has more value" scheme, those guys are unlikely to have more value than Rudy. Nobody's giving up the farm for sub-40% shooting rookies.

Of those names listed, I think Knight might be the best fit if we can get him back to playing some smart basketball and scale down the chucking. Maybe it's the way he is getting used or its because of what he is being asked to do but it's not ideal.
My reasons for Knight are that he is a PG on a reasonable contract signed for a number of years. He is still only 24 with best basketball ahead of him. He is similar age to Cousins so there is that aspects of it too. He is not a pure PG but he can create for others a bit and can create his own shot. Can play some good defense and can play some minutes at SG.
If we do end up with Knight it means we don't have to go shopping for a starting PG next summer either. He is not ideal but I think he probably fits well in the type of system Joerger will run and he fits on the defensive end as well.

Gay & Collision for Dragic works on the Trade Machine. Add a second-rounder or whatever peripheral junk makes it come together. Not ridiculous for Miami (they like both our players), and Kings would get a tall long high caliber pg which would be a rabbit out of a hat after what Rudy has done to his trade value with all his talk.

Maybe you're right but it's not like we really have leverage with Rudy and Dragic has a long contract. But ok two 'hell no' replies in rapid succession... I give.

One could make the argument that DC is just as good as Dragic (granted, it would be a tough argument to win).... So no on that throw in.
I do agree that we'd need to sweeten the pot if we're trying to ship Rudy out though. I'm thinking one of the kids we drafted is probably going to go, and my money would be on Malachi.
As for who I'd want back? Knight or Dragic, easily.

This reported low trade value of Rudy....does anyone really know that it's true? I mean, I have an incredibly hard time believing he has zero trade value or is even a negative value when I look at some of these trade proposals.

I suspect that the closer we get to training camp, the better chances of a deal happening. I think OKC is a landing spot as they are in win now mode and Rudy could help replace some of Durants production. Payne and ? is obviously the target. I would trade Gay and Collison for Dragic. We have two players who we probably lose at the end of this season for nothing and get a PG we have control over for 2 more season at what is now not an awful contract. If we could get a pick swap or future 2nd or protected 1st out of the deal, even better.

Why does Miami want to move Dragic? Wasn't it Gay who said he would be interested in Miami?
I think people are going to be disappointed on the return the Kings get for Gay. If there was a big market for Gay he would have already been traded.

There isn't a huge market, but I am sure the Kings are getting some low-ball offers because everyone knows Rudy wants out. However, I think Vlade would be fine with keeping Gay if it meant not giving him away for pennies on the dollar. I am fairly confident that this is the issue. Teams want Rudy, but don't want to give up a lot to get him and they are using the knowledge of him wanting out of Sacramento against us. The only way to combat that is, of course, to say "fine, we'll keep him if that's your offer" and hope (with time) that the other team budges and improves their offer. Vlade may also wait until the trade deadline if he has to, a lot of teams fold under pressure and he may strike gold then...
Maybe there is a market for,Rudy but no one is willing to give an offer that Vlade wants.
Most teams live in the real world and realize that Rudy on an expiring just doesn't have a lot of value. He just isn't the impact player that some think he is here.
I've long stated we're a better team with Omri starting, so I'd be fine with a decent prospect and/or a future 1st round pick. OKC does make a ton of sense as Rudy is essentially a ridiculously poor man's version of Durant. They'd be able to run a lot of the same sets with more emphasis on Westy

Agreed. I think part of this is the Catanella effect. But to say there is no market, is probably grossly wrong. Teams are probably thinking that Vlade doesn't want to go to camp with Rudy and so they are going to wait it out. Vlade is probably just going to wait until the right offer comes along.
Last I checked, no one is getting moved right now.
I don't know if anyone is thinking Rudy is an impact player on here but I think there are a few who think he's dog poo. You can't be selected to Team USA 2 years ago and not be considered at least a capable player. Don't know what tier level he's in but he could help quite a few teams.
If he was the 4th or 5th best player on a team, he'd be insanely valuable. I'd love to see him in a 6th man role getting 30 minutes at SF and small-ball PF and feasting on 2nd units. His ability to create off the bounce is unique, but he's a bad playmaker and doesn't defend, which is a huge negative when he's expected to be the 2nd best player on a team.

If you are correct and maybe you are, I just let Rudy start the season and see how things look as the season progresses.

At this point I don't think your gonna get anything better for Rudy. Might as well keep him on the team and hope we win which might change his mood. Defense can be contagious and I think if everyone is buying in and playing hard so will Rudy.

But you are assuming that we will trade him for the sake of trading him. We either trade him for something we like or he stays and leaves via FA. If he leaves there is more cap room to play with by either signing someone or acting as a trade partner for teams looking to shed contracts.

What makes you think teams want Rudy on a long term deal? With his highly questionable history he's only a good get if like us/Toronto you give up nothing to get him and he's on a short term deal otherwise giving up assets when he could bail or overstay his welcome (once you realise he won't help you win) is a terrible move. The guy just does not have much value right now.

So in the West, IMO, Rudy is right there next to KD and Kawhi.
So the one call, I want Vlade to make for Rudy is a call to NY.

A Melo in Sacramento means more years of DMC in Sacramento.
And Melo is a guy DMC publicly idolize.
With Porz getting a legit spotlight brighter than Melo in NY and now Rose and Noah, I think Melo would ease that drop that trade kicker to play in the West.
