Again I would think if we got Korver , you would not add Twill also, then you play the two best SF's, probably Korver and salmons
Then Outlaw,Garcia,Honeycutt would be on the bench
If we were willing to sign TWill without moving any existing SF (still may be our last move) why not add Korver instead of TWill?
I you want to get into Korver vrs T. Will, its probably youth and athleticism vrs outstanding outside shooting. My preference would be both. Start T. Will and back him up with Korver. Or aquire Wright from the Warriors, start him and back him up with either T. Will or Korver. Of course either of those scenarios would require ridding ourselves of some dead weight, and thats easier said than done. I'm sure there are some teams out there that would love to have Salmons, but not at 8.5 mil a year. We all seem to be writing off Outlaw, and maybe thats a mistake. It might be a good idea to see what he brings to the table, healthy, and with a full training camp. I'm not endorsing him as our starting SF, I'm just saying!
Anyway, back to Korver. He's a very smart player thats shot over 40% for his career from the 3pt line. He's basicly been a bench player averaging around 22 minutes a game for his career. But if I have to choose long term, and its either/or, then I'm taking Williams on potential alone. And he's not a bad player right now. I have no doubt that he would be a better defender than Korver, who isn't bad on defense.
