What's up with the haircuts?

Kevin Martin is a pretty good looking guy but, frankly, he looks stupid with the mohawk look. He doesn't really pull it off very well. Donte Greene had the same look which didn't look so bad until he shaved it and now he pretty much as a straight mohawk. He looks awful with it.

If I were him and I was shooting like 12% from the floor in preseason, I wouldn't do anything that makes me stand out like that.

Just my two cents....

Something like that. Only reason I have not mentioned it in the grades. Well that, and I hoped/assumed he would let it grow out. The little patch of chocolate milk on his chin is enough. There is no need to spend his first season as the face of the franchise with a doofy hairdo. I'm sure grandpa would understand if he just wrote his name on his sneaker or something.

That both he and Greene would have one...you had hoped once Ron left so would that look.

Ok, well if Kevin's hair is a tribute to his grandpa, then I can maybe understand. Lets just hope it grows out soon. Donte on the other hand....
 
The hawk doesn’t bother me on either of them, maybe cause it’s not that big or noticeable –at least on Kevin. lol Does anybody miss the boyish haircut that Kevin had in his rookie/sophomore season? I loved those curls on the top.

But the mohawk that Ron was sporting wasn’t flattering on him. lol
 
might as well have Mikki unleash his hair and brad go back to the Cornrows, Hell might as well have Beno get the mohawk also

That way our team defense and hair have something in common, its terrible.

Well, for my three cents :p, as long as Martin shoots the way he does, I couldn't possibly care less what kind of hairdo he sports.

But it is a tribute to his late grandfather, Dallas Martin, as has been explained by both Grant/Jerry AND in the Bee.
 
Kids these days! Now, Johnny Unitas, there's a haircut you could set your watch to.

Ditto. I dont think it's a big deal either. Kevin's isnt really that noticeable.
 
wow... i cant believe theres a thread thats still going on about the mohawks... who cares.... im willing to bet that 35- older are anti mohawk, and the rest are pro hawk...

AS LONG AS ITS NOT BRAD MILLER'S CORNROWS WHO CARES!
 
I'm willing to bet 95% of all people think Donte's new mohawk is god awful. Kevin's is a bit more subtle but I don't think he really pulls it off. Let it grow out Kevin!!

You lose the bet. :p I am well over 35 and I am NOT anti mohawk. I care more about how they play than how they wear their hair. Ok, I make an exception to the statement with Big Ben when he combs out his hair.

Donte can pull it off better than Kevin because he's SUPPOSED to be young and dumb, and Kevin's personality is far too well known to support anything remotely resembling a mohawk. You see Donte with it, and its just "dufus kid". You see Kevin with it and its just...wrong. Like Brad and his cornrows wrong.
 
Well, with the anticipation of a long season, at least we have hair-cuts and new uniforms to talk about
 
Mohawks are a pretty popular hairstyle right now. All you have to do is look around you everyday and you'll see them more and more. It started with the faux hawk becoming popular, and now a low profile actualy mohawk is popular again.

The tall spikey mohawk is big and has been big with punk and scene kids.

Well, my wife is very disappointed. She no longer thinks Kevin is "cute." Oh well. And I'm sorry, but when you're shooting 12% from the floor like Donte is, you aren't allowed a mohawk.
