Westphal's uncertain future

I think its safe to say that Cousins has absolutely no respect for Westphal. This is looking bad. Something needs to change (That means the coach).

Yeah, I just read that tweet about Cousins and Westphal. To say that things are getting out of hand is the biggest understatement I could make on here.

Ok, but did you read Joe Maloff's tweet yesterday about all this Cousins nonsense. It's clear to me he (and Petrie) are 100% behind PW on this matter. As far as getting "out of hand" it's all on this idiot Cousins (and I don't gloat in saying that) because you don't insult the NBA, Warriors, Kings organization, Beno Udrih, the trainer and a host of others just for the helluva it - and think there's not consequences. Somebody is going to pop this punk in the mouth one of these days I bet just when he least expects it. I would not be surprised if he's a Bobcat soon - just hope we get a #1 pick for him plus a decent player or two.

Do you think this could be a repeat of the debacle that happened between Don Nelson and Webber in their Warrior days?

If it is that means Cousins gets traded - fast. I hope not but maybe it's the only way to deal effectively with a guy who is disruptive to say the least. GROW UP COUSINS YOU JUVENILE FOOL!

Well let's hope that isn't the case. That would just be a foolish thing to do at this point, if he keeps this up 2-3 seasons from now, then trade him.

I don't remember the exact quote but it was something like, "With this incident, DeMarcus presented a bad image for the Kings organization and will have to suffer the consequences."

That sounds very company linish.

Which it should given that he IS the company.

I've been thinking about this "uncertainty" and it's an interesting word since entire league is uncertain at this point with a pending lock out on the horizon. Yes, uncertainty is all around for sure but I get back to the options - can they be better or is it Kenny Natt debacle redux? I just think PW slogs through and of course maybe Kings it turn around after first of the year - a bit. Meanwhile, if he survives (or if a Jim Eyen or whoever takes over) and the team still looks as terrible as it does now at the very end - what about next season? Who can take the rains next year if there's an opening? I'd kind of like John Calipari if Maloff's could afford him and he'd leave Univ of Kentucky. We could affectionately start refering to him "Cali." I heard Tyreke would not favor him as his coach again but I think Cousins would be ok with it - or could care less. At least Tyreke still affectionately calls his current coach, "Coach Paul." Either way, I would prefer the pretty dynamic Calipari over usual, mostly stale NBA retreads like JVG, Mike Brown, Mike Woodson, Eddie Jordan, etc. Meanwhile, I suspect we're going to have Coach Paul to kick around for awhile - like at least another 50 games or so.

And we can all look back on history and see how well that worked for the Warriors! ;) Too bad they don't make time machines because if they did, be interesting to see how far Chris would have taken them.

Hahahaha! I would be less surprised if YOU were a Bobcat soon. Kings aren't giving up on this kid, no way. You can't tell me this team traded for and put up with Artests' bull for multiple years and they'd jettison a prospect with 10 times the upside in a fraction of the time. I haven't heard any significant issues other than ones existing between Cousins and the coaching staff. Honestly, I'd bet there are about 15 other guys with the same problems right now. This kid isn't even close to "Artest" level.

Are you kidding? The Warriors were better off without Webb, sure they never made the playoffs for ten years after he left, but they were better.
