Player of the game... The Sacramento Kings. Great team win... Salmons ability to not suck is a season saver. He just needs to keep it going. His stat line tonight was fan freaking tastic

I don't know about good shape: if we continue to only get ten points from our bench, it's going to catch up to us, eventually.

So nice to see a Kings team not choke in overtime for a change. All five starters played very well. If they can keep that up, they'll be pretty good. On a side note, JT has been great this year and definitely should start for good. Resigning him better be a top priority this summer.

solid win, but we need to find productive minutes from our bench. Tyreke, Thornton and Cousins cant be playing 40+ minutes every night. Where are Donte Greene and Jimmer Fredette? I would much rather play Donte over the useless Outlaw and almost as bad Hickson. Looks like Smart is content wit a 3 gaurd rotation, Jimmer is the odd man out.

Another nice post-game talk by Coach Smart. He's not afraid to talk about the good plays and the "total breakdowns" that happened during the game. The more I see of him, the more I realize just how good a choice he was!

I still love listening to his answers. I think it is a smart move to explain everything out in detail and never blow off questions. He could totally not answer anything and just skim through the interviews like Westphal did. He gains a lot of respect from fans and the media by spending the time to respond.

Edit: As I was proof reading I also realized maybe this is why he is having so much success with the team? It has been made well known that Cousins often questions his coaches all the time and asks for explanations of why things are done a certain way. If Smart talks to his players like he does in interviews I can see why they would respect him. Much better attitude to raise a young team than just ordering them around.

That's a great point. I do think the open, honest dialogue Smart appears to have with his players is the root of the good relationship he and Cousins have.

I think they should just continue to threaten not extending him...apparently it brings the best out in him.

I know you're joking, but there have been times in the past that got pretty ugly because of the "racist" tag. It's something I just don't think should be fodder for jokes, you know?

You know what's disappointing? It always boils down to the same old tired refrains - racism, religion, gender issues, etc. Why not Coca Cola drinkers? I'm pretty sure at least one of our team members doesn't toe the Pepsi line! OMG!
