Hopefully Burkle snatches the Kings away from the Maloofs as the next step. I feel that we'll have a better team on a billionaire's budget than on the budget of a family 100 million in the hole

Maloofs are still the owners. They said they would never sell and they havent, and it doesnt look like they will.

If this is going to work, if the Kings ( with the Maloofs attatched to them for life ) are going to stay in Sacramento ... they need to be treated with some amount of respect. You dont have to love them ... and you can hate them if you want, but they are here, and they are very important when it comes to keeping the team here.

Im happy that George will be working with the Mayor on the arena side while Gavin and Joe focus on the team. Thats the way it should be. While Joe and Gavin can be childish at times, they are fantastic 'fans'. George is the smart one of the three, and I DO think that if a good arena plan is in place he will go for it.

When things were going good back in the day, The Maloofs were all part of that. I do feel betrayed right now ... but seeing there excitement made everything about the Kings better. They were part of the experience. I hope we can get back to that one day.

Very good. Now the fans have to do their part ..... again. My biggest pessimism is about the arena as an issue and not the Maloofs specifically. No matter who we want to point fingers at for what has happened in the past, the past needs to be removed from the memory banks. Ok, OK, impossible.

In any case, we still have to move forward and isolating the Maloofs with anger will not help anyone. Let's see what they say. Let's see if they can restore the relationship. Now they have the chance to either be the good guys or the bad guys so let's wait and see before we prejudge their behavior for what right now is in the future.

Remember that relationships are two sided. Or four. Or whatever

I have no beef with the Maloofs now that we are given a chance to keep the Kings. They didn't hurt anyone, and trying to do what is best for yourself does not deserve hate in my book. I dislike what they did but I don't hate them, similar to Lebron.

I certainly don't hate them. I just think they're slimy weasels. That's not a problem though as long as they're staying.

People have just got to forget the Maloofs are the owners. You don't need to love them and its a waste of energy to hate them. Sacramentans and other fans in the region need to step up. We will lose this team if we don't unite behind our team.

That's what you have to think of every day. We are not loving or hating the owners, we are loving and supporting the team we want to keep in Sacramento. Yes, any money I spend will help the Maloofs, but it also helps support my team staying here in Sacramento. I vow to do as much as I possibly can to keep this team here for decades to come. I'll spend some money, go to rallys, attend city council meetings, write to the people who can make this happen, etc. For me, for my son and DIL, for my grandkids.

Congratulations to the city of Sacramento and all Kings fans... especially you fans up there! I told you guys that the Maloofs were bluffing. I hope there's no strike. I want to see some BB this coming season. I want to see my Kings improve dramatically and fight for a playoff spot. I want to see ARCO full again. I want to see the Maloofs court-side jumping up and down. Go Kings!!!!!
