Exactly. Hornets didn't even try for that rebound until they found none of the Kings were moving towards the ball.Shouldn’t even matter the hornets were all headed back on defense and were like oh look kings don’t want the ball

Well, if he is strong...he wouldn't be getting push around like that though. That's one thing I notice about that dude, he ain't strong.
Obviously not because the guy he was boxing out pushed him to the floor.
Obviously, there's no comparison when it comes to offense. That clutch three gave me goosebumps. That's confidence. He’s way smoother on offense than Looney though. The comp for IJ for me since he first started flashing in summer league last year is Naz Reid. Both similar sizes with similar builds. Naz has turned into a solid perimeter shooter but starting out he was primarily a paint-and-in scorer.
Carter played excellent, what are you talking about? He didn't shoot well, but everything else was top notch.

I wouldnt use that word to describe it and shooting isn’t “yeah, that was awful but the other things”. Especially if you take 16. It’s the name of the game. I’ve been more impressed with him in actual NBA games though so it’s not a big deal that I wasn’t floored by this summer league game.
The Hornets were stuck on 75 for an eternity but we couldn't execute one good play to tie the game. That's on the coach.
The passiveness from Nique is infuriating. Passed up over half a dozen open shots. I don't mind missing shots. I hate not taking shots. Too little, too late gave me bad LaVine memories. He's gotta do better. He has the talent but needs the killer mentality.
Looney is nowhere near as athletic as IJ but they are built kind of similarly.
For whatever it’s worth, it certainly felt like he was jacking up a good amount of garbage in the fourth quarter tonight but it also felt like the Kings were encouraging him to get those reps.Eh, Clifford is more of a glue guy though. That's going to keep him in the league longer than shooting every time. He's a natural point F. Maybe he develops that, but it's kind of like Keegan or Harrison Barnes where he's probably too thoughtful to just jack up garbage.
IJ would really be 7 feet tall if he just had a normal sized neck. It’s just the lack of a neck haha
Eh, he's the most talented offensive player on the floor. He has to be aggressive. His role on the big club is not what we are looking for in this game.Eh, Clifford is more of a glue guy though. IJ is the MVP. He kept us in the game and was the main reason we were right there till the end.I don't care what the score says, Isaac Jones is the MVP.
And do the Kings really think that Jonathan Kuminga is a better player by a wide margin than the guy they just signed to a regular contract?
It’s not his fault the coach with a time out in his pocket didn’t get Caldwell on the floor. Extremely poor coaching by Mistry down the stretch of this game.Well, if he is strong...he wouldn't be getting push around like that though. That's one thing I notice about that dude, he ain't strong.
So far, yes. But Jones only played 304 minutes last year. Kuminga played 1144.IJ is the MVP. He kept us in the game and was the main reason we were right there till the end.
I'm not a fan of Kuminga but he is the better NBA player by a wide margin.
Kuminga is the poster child of talent mismanagement. He was not properly developed by the Warriors and yet he's able to make an impact. He could develop into a #2 guy on a playoff team under the right ecosystem. While IJ is good, I don't quite see that ceiling with him. The peak of that arc is what I'm talking about. So far, yes. But Jones only played 304 minutes last year. Kuminga played 1144.
The arc of Jones' development is extraordinary.
Actually, given the team composition, the most important player on this roster, at least for the coming season, is IJ. And he played great. It’s hard to not feel disappointed. The loss is one thing but the guys we wanted to shine didn’t the last 2 games.
Kinda funny that the youngest player in the top 15 is two weeks short of being 23. Of course, Flagg only played two games, but still, the young 'uns aren't really the ones showing out, are they?
IJ showed out. I actually never noticed or watched him on defense. Any thoughts on that end?
He is definitely a pf not a center. He stayed with his man, blocked out pretty well, but had trouble stopping the taller players like Kalkbrenner from scoring. Last season, fans here complained that he kept getting lost on defense. I did not notice that in summer league, at least in the quarters I was able to watch.
Jones only had one block against Charlotte, none against Toronto, and one against both Cleveland and the Suns. I really see him more as a power forward rather than center.
IJ would really be 7 feet tall if he just had a normal sized neck.
I have something to say about this loss:
1. This game is hard to watch. Back to back game...it seems players are tired
2. Nique is not as unique as I thought when he is being challenged.
3. Coach Mistry sucks. Really? Telling Nique to purposely miss the free throw? What a stupid strategy.
4. Daeqwon Plowden sucks. I thought he was good. How can you screw up that last rebound? Laying on the floor without making effort to go after the ball. No wonder you been bouncing around the league.
