Devin and IJ looked good this game but yeah rough rough stuff from the rookies.

well, winning summer league wasn't a recipe for a successful regular season so disappointed especially in the final 2 minutes after battling back (also I hate all Dukies so that brat is now top of my most hated list for a while) but we got lots of work to do. onward.

Maybe it’s a blessing in disguise in the sense that had Cliff and Max dominated the last 2 the expectations would have grown to be unrealistic. Now it’s grind mode for the next 2 months

Disappointing, but overall extremely happy with this SL in totality. All 4 of our NBA prospects... look like it and showing intriguing skillsets. I'm not worried about tired legs on the 6th game in 10 days from the rookies especially.

Went back to watch this, it was completely obvious. Plowden had Sims boxed out and the ball was coming to him, and Sims just straight up pushed him to the ground. Should have been our ball, down 2. IJ three wins it.

All in all, they showed fight with whatever energy they had left. That's all you can ask for. The first quarter was just too much for a team that watched their offense kind of get short winded here in the last couple of games.

IJ reminded me of Kevon Looney. He's smaller but he's just relentless on the boards and the motor is amazing.

I have something to say about this loss:
1. This game is hard to watch. Back to back game...it seems players are tired
2. Nique is not as unique as I thought when he is being challenged.
3. Coach Mistry sucks. Really? Telling Nique to purposely miss the free throw? What a stupid strategy.
4. Daeqwon Plowden sucks. I thought he was good. How can you screw up that last rebound? Laying on the floor without making effort to go after the ball. No wonder you been bouncing around the league.

I know it’s hindsight, but why not get Cardwell in there for the board and call a timeout for offense subs

Shouldn’t even matter the hornets were all headed back on defense and were like oh look kings don’t want the ball

This was a great experience for all the Kings young guys. The regular season will be a cake walk compared to this. Playoff basketball doesn't even get to this level of physicality. For the chaos of summer league these were good signs for all the Kings young core.

IJ reminded me of Kevon Looney. He's smaller but he's just relentless on the boards and the motor is amazing.

He’s way smoother on offense than Looney though. The comp for IJ for me since he first started flashing in summer league last year is Naz Reid. Both similar sizes with similar builds. Naz has turned into a solid perimeter shooter but starting out he was primarily a paint-and-in scorer like IJ is/has been.

Looney is nowhere near as athletic as IJ but they are built kind of similarly.
