Volunteers Needed for Kings Game Opener!

Greetings!

We are looking for 150 volunteers for the Sacramento Kings Opening Night pregame festivities. Opening Night should be a very memorable moment in Kings history.

If you have friends or family members who would like to be part of the excitement and who are able to volunteer, please provide them with the following information;

· All volunteer shifts start at 3:30pm

· To receive complimentary parking, volunteers must enter through toll plaza 9 off of Truxel Road between 3:00pm-3:30pm

· Volunteer positions include:

1. FAN ZONE: Helping fans at attractions in the NBA Fan Experience zone 3:30pm-7:00pm

2. 6th MAN LAWN: Helping with sign making or air brush face painting in the 6th Man Beer Garden 3:30pm-7:00pm

3. PAPARAZZI: Be a cheering fan at the paparazzi walk up area 4:00pm-6:00pm

· To thank our volunteers for their help, they will receive TWO complimentary tickets to an upcoming Kings game.

· Volunteers between the ages of 16-18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Volunteers must be at least 16.

· Please have interested volunteers e-mail Tanya no later than 5:00 pm tomorrow, Saturday 10/25 at tchakravarty@kings.com with the following information:

o First and Last Name

o Are you over 18?

· Final details will be e-mailed to volunteers on Monday, October 28.

Thank you for your help in ensuring that we provide championship moments for all of our guests at what is sure to be the greatest home opener in the history of the world.

A "Purple Carpet" will be set up in the parking lot in front of the main security entrance. "VIPs" will enter the arena there from 4 to 6 p.m., including NBA Commissioner David Stern. Fans will be able to line up along the "Purple Carpet" area, but it is first come, first serve. So if you want to get a spot, you may want to show up around 4 p.m.

Oh, and I got an email this morning that this is where I will be hanging out as my pre-game volunteer duty. Taking off early from work to have some fun. Will likely be in my Crown Downtown t-shirt. Come say "Hi" and we can give a loud welcome to Stern, etc.!
