Unless we sign Porter and WAS doesn't match, there isn't anyone to sign that fits our timeline. I think we hold a bunch of cap space to absorb bad deals for future picks. We only have to be at the floor by year end.
Ingles is restricted and says Utah is his first priority. The Kings would have to overpay and hope the Jazz don't match.
Otto Porter is also restricted and I don't see Washington letting him go.
Minnesota would probably let Muhammed go but I'm not sure he's a good fit or worth a big contract.
Giving Iguodala his last big deal wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. He's a solid pro and a versatile player that would fit well.
He's undoubtedly a major key to their success.I don't think GSW wins either Ship without Iggy checking LBJ. So there it is right there, is GSW going to let Iguodala sign elsewhere?
I would love to see Tony Allen on a 2 year, second year ungauranteed contract similar to Afflalo/Tolliver from last season. Yeah he's old and yeah he's not actually a SF, but he can still defend any SF in the league at an above average level, so you bring him in to either be the bench defender or the starter to set the tone, play short minutes and let the kids come in. His toughness and defensive focus would be huge for these kinds every day in practice and having the toughest guy in the league backing you up gives these kids confidence to not pushed around or intimidated. Already Has a history with Joerger. Memphis isn't going to offer more than the vet min, he hasn't made enough money in his career to just ring chase, we have plenty of money to spend just give him 10 million and let him be a vet mentor and a stopgap if nothing better comes for the SF position
Not really feeling the AT butthurt thing... dude go ball out somewhere else and prove we were wrong. But stop the stalking and whining damn man.
Casspi loves Sacramento but he is not signing here unless he gets playing time and as we saw last season, coach Joerger is not a huge fan of Casspi's game. I think he is a great fit in New Orleans.Casspi is another player to consider as a FA. Likes to get out and run, high character vet, loves Sacramento, etc. I would probably only offer him 1 year guaranteed so we can keep our flexibility going forward.
It's his verified accountDoubt that is really AT. Most likely a fake.
It's his verified account
So what is up with AT? Think he is just mad? I'm sure he can get a contract from another team.
I have no idea. What does he think why we have him 8 million last season? Because this allowed us to not guarantee his contract for 2017-2018 and waive and thats exactly what we did.
I agree but Millsap rumors make me nervous!Frankly, Tolliver has a point here. He's EXACTLY the guy we want around for that role this upcoming year, and we cut him, because why? It's not like we're going to use the cap space. If he's a bit salty, he earned it.

Skal needs to get good minutes next year!
Oh I agree but I don't think Giles will play much next season...definitely not at the start of the year. I am certain we will look for a PF but honestly I think someone like Tolliver would have been a great option.I know it's a bit premature, because he's not 100% healthy yet, but drafting Giles (on top of Skal) basically cements our PF position until one of the two proves they can't cut it in the league. A stop-gap, sure. But I can't even remotely imagine us going after a top-tier PF to sit in front of Skal/Giles. We need to develop the kids, and putting somebody in the way of that would be dumb. We'll go after a SF in free agency no doubt, but PF, C, and SG aren't really positions where we need to upgrade long-term, not yet. At PG we need a mentor, and Darren would be great if that's what he wants to do. I see us going after 1) Bogdanovic 2) a legit SF like Porter/Hayward (but I imagine we strike out), 3) a veteran PF on a one-year deal, 4) a veteran PG like Collison on a longer deal to mentor the kids.
Frankly, Tolliver has a point here. He's EXACTLY the guy we want around for that role this upcoming year, and we cut him, because why? It's not like we're going to use the cap space. If he's a bit salty, he earned it.
Given that he won "the best team mate" with Detroit and I think at a few other stops before that, then the "other side of his personality we don't see" is a bit of a long stretch!Maybe he is not salty but interested in returning. His twee t may be getting misinterpreted herw. I always thought there was a decent chance vlade offers him a new contract depending how thing shake out in the draft. Love how vlade valuea flexibility. AT is a big boy he must get this. If not then there is another side to his personality we dont see as fans and he is not a guy we want around.

Yeah, that's the thing that still bothers me about cutting Tolliver.
This team is so far below the salary floor that Vlade'd probably still struggle to reach it even with AT on the team. It's not like Tolliver was some sort of James Johnson/Nick Young-esque locker room killer. Tolliver was one of this team's leaders at season's end and actually filled an increasingly important role in the modern NBA as a stretch-4.
Unless Vlade has some sort of plan to sign multiple max contract dudes (and considering the age and situation of the team, he probably shouldn't), there was really no need to get rid of Tolliver this offseason.
Probablu had more to do with the roster space. Correct me if im wrong, but wasn't AT waives prioe to Gay officially opting out as well as galloway?
The Gay opting out thing was a formality and in the case of Galloway, I doubt many teams' offseason plans are predicated on the comings and goings of their third point guard.

Waiving AT with the option to pursue him and offer another contact in the offseason has zero risk. Its not like he is irreplaceable by any stretch of the imagination. Again it is tbe rostor spot that "might" and still "might" come into play. Why not open up the spot to to have more flexibility to make some deal. Gay could have had some setback amd decide to stay. Galloway was likely to stay. I think it was a smart move and shows the FO is on top of things and looking to put themselves in the most favorable position to take advantage of opportunities that might unfold. When the FO had to make a decision about AT they can't fast forward in time to be 100% sure Gay would be gone or galloway would be gone. When they gave AT. And AA the contracts they did it shows foresight and attention to the little things that can give small advantagea down the road. As a fan i appreciate that little extra effort and focus coming from the FO. Those opportunities might not have materilized but i would be annoyed if AT being kept prevented us from being able to pick up a salary dump as well as another late first pick etc.
What was important was his roster spot. The Kings currently have 4 open roster spots with Bogdanovic most likely filling 1 of them. If Galloway and Tolliver were still here, that would only leave 1 left.
To which I ask, who exactly is it that you plan on signing this offseason that requires three open roster slots and 40 million dollars?
Now isn't the right time to nab "big name" impact players. Is (insert player name here) a better use of that space and money that Tolliver? If the answer is no, you've essential cut a guy for no reason.
