Hall of Famer
Fesenko has been brought up a couple of times already on this fourm, and I thought I would revisit him. Utah picked up the option on him, which left myself and probably everyone else thinking he was off the board. I think they were hedging their bet on losing either Boozer or Okur, or both. Since both of them have decided not to opt out, and Utah has a projected salary of close to 72 mil, I would think they would be looking for any cap relief they can get.
Their still stuck with the concept that Boozer could still only be there for one year, and so they would still like to keep Millsap, which would push them even further over the cap. Fesenko made less than 1 mil last year and has just this one year left on his contract. He averaged almost one blocked shot a game despite only averaging around 7 minutes a game. So were talkin about a 7'1" 285 pound player thats only 22 years old. Lets also not forget that Utah just drafted Kosta Koufos, another young center.
So I think Fesenko can be had pretty cheaply. Technically we could just trade cap space and aquire him. Or perhaps a future second round pick. Which ever way we would go, he would give us a third big to try for one year. Thats certainlly worth a gamble..
