THey didn't play well enough that year to qualify for CL and they should just leave it at that. Even some of their CL wins are questinable (hint goal against Chelsea where ball never completely crossed the line - the rule says the whole ball and not parts of it have to be over the line).

Liverpool's league form (the criteria for CL qualification) wasnt good enough and they have only themselves to blame. I think UEFA will not establish any president by allowing them to defend their title and i can accept that. (but i m sure you canunderstand my disappointment)
As for the 'goal' against Chelsea...I would feel cheated if that had been given against my team, so i do feel a bit sorry for you as a Chelsea supporter. However, we both know that Chelsea are the 'best' team in England at the moment (as defined by their dominance of the league) so you have had plenty to cheer about as well this year.
