Tyreke Evans - WTF???!

Nighthawk1

Starter
How could you miss that layup... Wow we should trade you Mikki Moore (works in a trade checker):D

Seriously though, this kid has been clutch lately. He doesn't shy away from the moment - EVER. Only a few more weeks until your running partner returns and the court opens up even more for you!

he has been consistently dropping over 20ppg 5rpg 6apg and a couple of steals lately..... he must be a stud in fantasy league then

all this from a rookie.

And he managed to literally take our breath away in the process...twice. First with the collison between his head/chest and the floor and second by running into the blind pick Okafor set for him...

One thing for sure. We're never gonna be bored with Tyreke Evans on the team!

:D

the future is bright for the kings with this kid.... i just noticed how he has that blank stare sometimes.... kinda creepy though like his brothers created a basketball machine... :p

I wish I could watch the games, I want to see Tyreke Evans become a monster :D. Tyreke had 9 assists to go along with his 25 points. I could comfortably say he had a better game than Paul, especially down the stretch. I would have given almost anything to watch the last 5 minutes

he's been doin me proud on my fantasy team :D

I have only watched a couple of games at the beginning of the season, but with no league pass and living in NM, all I've got is highlights...but i'm thrilled seeing/hearing/reading the impact he is already making...

ive watched a total of 4 games of the kings this year.. and i expect them to air the games like the one vs LA and stuff..

tyreke a 20 5 5 guy now.. amazing kid

Is there any doubt at all left that we had the best night in the entire league on 6-25-09?

Remember all the wailing and gnashing of teeth? The "woe is me", we are forever doomed and there is no fairness for Kings fans when we got the #4 pick?............:D

In all fairness, we got very, very lucky to be able to land Tyreke. The Grizzlies or Thunder would have taken him off the board if they wanted to. Thank goodness that Thabeet is 7' 3" and was 'worth a shot'. Thank goodness the Thunder already have Westbrook, and didn't know how great Tyreke would already be in the league.

This guy is amazing. He's the reason I purchased League Pass and had my wife get me his jersey for Christmas! I have 10th row tickets to his game in Utah in Jan! Can't wait to wear my jersey with pride! :D

EDIT: I was one of those guys wailing and gnashing my teeth when we didn't get the 1st pick and passed up on he who shall not be named. I admit I was wrong and am VERY excited!

I remember when you and I were pushing for the Kings to draft Evans and predicting stardom for him. I also remember us getting bashed by a lot of posters that thought we were nuts.:D

Tyreke officially averaging 20/5/5. That's the numbers of an All-Star. At twenty years old? I'll take it.
Stop!

As much as he is putting up numbers comparable to that of Lebron's in his rookie year, he is not a point guard and so I will never ever want him. And he will never be as good as that nameless player drafted at #5. :p

BTW, am I going to be alone now in putting down Evan's accomplishments? :o.........:D

do you guys think reke actually has a shot at the allstar team this year? if he keeps putting up numbers like this and we win some big games?
I meen he could be classified as a 1,2 or 3 on the teams roster so that might help his chances.

are you suggesting Rubio is nameless, because that is untrue. Are you suggesting Tyreke will never be as good as Rubio, because that is untrue. Are you suggesting anything that cannot be disproved? I wish ricky's parents used a rubio when he was conceived.

Yes I remember a lot of people getting so mad about the Kings taking Tyreke and not Rubio. I wonder how many of those people are praising Tyreke now.

Very cubeish of you!:)

While I'm also loving the 20/5/5 I'm also loving the lack of turnovers that so many of us were afraid of when they decided to let him run the point.

He's simply amazing. I finally found out how to watch Kings games in LA so I've finally gotten a chance to see him in action. Wow. He's always looking to attack. Even when he looks like he's letting up, it's a ruse. The Suns commentators even pointed this out after a drive to the hoop. He tried to get to the lane but was cut off (by Lopez I think). He took a step back like he was dribbling out to reset, but once the defender let up, just in the slightest...Reke was at the hoop getting fouled. Nice.

just wanted to point out that only 4 players ever have averaged 20,5,5 in their rookie season.. MJ, Lebron, Big O & Havoc if he keeps it up... thats pretty incredible.

just thought it was an interesting stat.
