Two quick picks here because we are heading out of town for the day and I need to pack stuff up and hit the road.
I need a racing game, so Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit(PC) fills that need (1998). Used to play this on the LAN at a friends house all the time (with his wife as well on a third PC!) - maybe not the best racing game out there, but lots of fun with a cop trying to chase you down.
I think I am going to throw in something here that may hopefully not bite me before my turn comes back, as there are still several games I'd love to take. But I love this game, and in fact am playing through the expansion pack now.
I think here I will take another dungeon crawler that takes quite a while to work through, with great flexibility in the party system and types of characters you can build. Not nearly as in-depth as NWN, etc., but personally a lot more fun, is Dungeon Siege II (with the Broken World expansion pack for PC). They were released in 2005 and 2006, respectively. It added some strategy elements and many more options to outfit your party than the original. The addition of "pets", enchantable items, better graphics, a skill tree, and "powers" all tops the first game.
The expansion pack adds a few more things:
An additional act (campaign)
2 hybrid classes, based on existing classes
Dwarf as a playable race
Recipes (crafting system)
I can see myself playing through this again when I'm done to explore some more possibilities here....
