I'm a big boxing fan, and this is the best boxing game out there, IMO.
 
10th Pick, and shoring up my Blizzard Library with this game. I also fills a void for a real time strategy game, which I was lacking. I love Warcraft II as well, but it is now pretty out dated. This game added 2 new races to play, (along with the humans and orcs) the elves and the undead, it individualized the race characters, and added heroes with experience bars to the mix for improved replayability and great magic combinations. With map editor, this game is infinitely playable. With the 10th pick I select:

Funniest and wackiest game ever! Travelling around the states trying to find the missing bigfoot; brilliant! Weird tourist traps, funny characters, and funny solutions to problems. This game is a true gem and my favorite graphic adventure game.

No I am here, just can't make a decision.

Alright I got it. This should be legal, as its a complete remake of a game that has been taken, and my favorite version of the game. I wish I could have gotten 4, but I'll take this as consolation

Resident Evil (2002) - Nintendo GameCube

I remember being scared to turn this game on. I had always just watched my friends play RE on Playstation and 64 and never did it. I got this game when I was 12 after waiting for it for months, hearing about how awesome the remake would be. New weapons, places, puzzles, cut scenes, amazing graphics.

I still remember when that damn dog jumps through the window. Wow. Or the cutscene in the beginning where you run up on your first zombie eating one of your squad mates. Still the scariest part of the game for me was a ways in when you go into some sideroom and are immediately drawn to all the shiny items you can pick up on one side of it. I remember being in there for about 2 minutes, leaving, then coming back in. I heard a small noise behind me and in an instant a zombie had flung himself out of hiding in the closet behind me and onto my character. Probably wouldn't be as scary now, but it was then.

I actually haven't played this one, so have no idea if it's legit or not. It seems Ok though, if it is in fact a remake

Anyway, I see a lot of arcade games going, and have noticed I haven't picked one myself yet. Luckily one of my all-time favorites is still here (completely forgot about The Simpsons game, that was a great pick btw). So, my next pick is:

Arkanoid (1986) - Arcade


Like Tetris, this game was surprisingly simple, yet surprisingly addictive. The objective? Destroy all the blocks using a bouncing ball and a vessel, collecting different powerups along the way. Classic

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes GC 2004

My favorite game series. I never could beat the spider ball boss in this game though.
 
Icewind Dale - 2000 - PC

I loved this game, and still do play both the first and the second versions. I do have to alter my duo core a bit to work with them, but they are still awesome games. Someone had posted a game like this one, but I felt this one was better because you could create a whole party as opposed to just one guy.

The earlier Simpsons pick reminded me of this game. The NES version had some more levels, and hey, who could turn down a free pizza from Pizza Hut? Anyway, it was much better than the original game, which I could never figure out.

Wing Commander: Privateer (1993) - PC

Review
In many ways more influential than even the first two Wing Commanders, which were mission based, this was one of the first "open universe" space games, where you could go where you wanted, when you wanted. Take side missions, follow the main plot about an ancient weapon, or not. Work as a trader, a mercenary, a pirate...you name it. Huge often dark universe, lot of ways to play -- passes the replayability test. Its got such a dedicated fanbase that not only do games still try to imitate it until this day, but there are still a number of remake/modding efforts trying to keep it current 15 years later. Never could get the elite heavy fighter in this one to work for me -- all those guns drained power too quickly and messed up my shield regeneration rate. So I always took the big bulky Orion class freighter instead, loaded it up with maximum front shields and engines to power them, lined up an enemy in front of me, hit turbo, and watched anybody who got in my way splat like a bug on my windshield. :p

And a last second change here. I had BGI and BGII as an either/or in this draft, and when BGII was snagged some rounds ago, thought I would sit on this for a bit. But I just wouldn't feel right on my island completely bereft of Minsc and his minature giant space hampter Boo, and with Icewind Dale finally picked up, it was time. I think if they were both available I was going to opt for II, just because of the incredible depth of the character interactions they instituted in that one, but in a lot of ways I think I found this first one more fun. Beat it several times testing out different characters and party combinations. Maybe its just that I always found the lower levels to be more entertaining in D&D based games (or almost all games) before you start to accumulate +6 uber swords of uber uberness and running into wandering monster encounters with red dragons and greater demons just outside the local tavern.
