Sorry for the delay, I'm in mourning as XM (and Sirius) inexplicably took their punk stations off the air yesterday - because they don't have enough bandwidth for niche stations, I'm confused why they needed to merge then?

Man, now this is some cooooool old school dance stuff to getcha movin...I have a good collection of Gap Band albums but I didn't get around to figuring out which one of the sequentially numbered albums this song came from - but you need to get out and get the Best Of anyway to get your full on funkiness...and the video is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO 80s! Love it,

Yeah, I don't care what anybody says, I like that song. And it is over the top and cheesy. But its also complex, fun and operatic. Hope its the version with the female vocalist coming it at the end though -- helped set it apart.

For those who truly are still baffled by "that" (like most video hosts and/or cornball critics), the answer is that "that" is redefined in every verse set. He says he'll do a) for love and he'll do b) for love, but then the last line of every verse is the thing he won't do. He won't lie. He won't cheat. He won't whatever. So there are about half a dozen different "thats" over the course of the song, and no big mystery if you listen closely. (I think the first set is a) I'd run to hell and back for love; b) I'd never lie to you for love; c) but I won't forget how you feel like right now (I won't do that). Clever eh?
Of course entirely too complex for the "She Got a Big Ole Butt" crowd, but whatcha going to do?

Have you listened to both songs? I have. I'm telling you that Would You Mind is more explicit than Closer.

I didn't forget what I said: Closer isn't vulgar. The chorus is a little profane, but the rest of the song is pretty lightweight.
