IMHO, I think all the smart GMs in the NBA (i.e. GSW, Spurs, etc.) knows the Kings got the BEST player in this draft at #4. They all had just wished the Kings were dumb enough to trade down from #4 so they could snag him! I think we got the real deal at #4!!!
Very glad that Keegan is a King.
AND I'd be very interested to know what trade offers Monte fielded.

Im surprised how much I enjoy hearing him talk. Reminds me of Pop or Kerr bit, always engaging and a little bit humorous. I imagine that goes a long way in keeping people’s attention when he speaks (tho doesn’t say a lot about the content per se)

Love that coach challenges Davion as a defender, not just validating what he does well. You know DM will embrace that challenge.

Honestly, what more could you expect from Vivek at this point? He has been burned too many times by extending people he shouldn't have, be it coach and/or GM. I would expect after 25-30 games of this new and revamped roster we will hear something in regards to an extension. Absolutely none of the moves Monte has made has screamed meh or band aid.
Of course, our resident negative nancy/gambler anonymous will yell middle manager until the proverbial chips prove him wrong.
Trading fan favorite and super talented Haliburton on a rookie deal for Sabonis and then building a team geared around your 2 strongest players in a single off-season takes cunning, guile, and some brass balls. Nothing "middle manager" about it.

Watching Barry Bonds rip dingers into McCoy cove was probably the greatest fan experience of my life so I’m not gonna apologize if Sac is the only organization that’ll embrace him. With how big baseball is in the area (and the Giants) it’s prob a smart move too
