i know this sounds crazy but it gets rid of kenny thomas....

thomas/salmons/#10 (conley hopefully) to portland for randolph and two 2nd round picks

then 3 way trade

reef to houston
joel to sac
battier to portland

bibby
martin
artest
randolph
miller

im not a big randolph fan but thomas/reef didnt add up to 20/10.... i like salmons but damn... no one would want miller.... if portland did then id be down for miller/douby for lafrentz/sergio too... dont need raef but in 2 years bibby and raef would be off the books... damn homie... thats capspace....

Those aren't meager offerings...I wouldn't even trade the #10 pick for Randolph straight up if it worked under the CBA...Randolph isn't worth a lotto pick.
Yes he is. People are overrating the value of non-top three lotto picks. For example, Shane Battier was worth the #8 pick in last year's draft. Boston traded the #7 pick for Sebastian Telfair. Granted, this draft is stronger, but Randolph is worth considerably more than the #10, which is why Portland would never do this trade. But I don't think Randolph is a great fit on the Kings anyway, at least not until we get a strong interior defender at Center.

One thing people tend to overlook about Randolph when they're oogling over his numbers is that the guy creates for himself and solely for himself. Once he gets the ball he goes to work and puts the shot up, he's a one on one player. If the blazers get a good SF for him, it's an absolute steal.

id much rather have randolph/joel than thomas/reef/salmons/conley

Agreed, but unfortunately so would they. ;)

Zach went 24 and 10 last year. There has been one Sacramento King in all the years of Sacramento Kings to put up better numbers than that. The league MVP put up similar numbers. Now Zach is no MVP, and I don't really want him here, but people are wildly underestimating what we are talking about here. If Portland was just a little more competitive, he was an All Star. And he's 26. Attitude, defense, whether he makes teammates better are all fair questions and lower hs value. They do not however lower his value so much that you aren't willing to part with Jeff Green to get him.

He wasn't playing to win, dude was playing for stats. Check Portland's record without him.

Check Cleveland's without LeBron. That stuff is often overrated. He also led the team in on court/off court +/-.

P.S. wasn't going to look through the whole season, but I think it was 6-11 down the strech without him at least. Immediately won 3 over weak opponents Wiz, Knicks, Hawks, then 3-11 the rest of the way. He's obviously not a guy who is elevating that team, but he was still their best player by a lot.
