If ever we draft a big in this draft (i.e. Drummond, Henson, etc.), we still will have a hole in the SF spot. Since our pick is #5 in this draft, I think what we need at SF is a role player. IMO, Jared Dudley could be that guy. He can shoot threes, good IQ, big body, and a willing defender. And he's signed to a reasonable contract that runs beyond resigning years of DMC/Evans. The trade I'll propose is:
Thornton/Honeycutt/36th for Dudley/Warrick/13th.
At 13th we draft Marshall.
Then we sign T-Will.
Our roster would be:
C-DMC/Whiteside
PF-Drummond(or Henson)/Warrick/Hayes
SF - Dudley/Salmons/Garcia
SG - Evans/TWill
PG - IT/Marshall/Freddette
For Phoenix: They'll most likely be losing Nash and a lot of free agents. Having Thornton over another wing project would be more than reasonable. They're also loaded up front with Lopez, Morris, and Gortat which makes drafting the like of Moultrie and other bigs available at the 13th pick range less than desirable. With Thornton on board, they'll have a proven scorer at the 2 which would allow them to spend for a star PG(i.e. Williams) or proven big.
