I dunno, i thought it was cool, they didnt show that much stuff. It was interesting anyways. 30 mins would have been better

Isn't the only thing that really matters how Bonzi plays ON the court? Having NOT seen this program, I don't know what he possibly could have done that would be so bad... I have seen the pre-season games, however, and I'm liking what I'm seeing out there when it counts...

I think I should have been more clear. Bonzi has, from pretty much all reports I've heard and everything I've seen, been an exemplary player and teammate since he became a Sacramento King. My concern is that some people will be a little too quick to find something to use against him.

Bonzi was vocal in practice, talking a little harmless smack, and was being physical with Garcia....nothing negative at all....in fact he is doing Francisco a favor....if he makes practice tough on him...the games for real will seem easier by comparison...Bonzi is a ol' pro....I was impressed with his demeanor....he showed a little bit of leadership unlike anything Peja ever shown in five years plus.

It was good, but they said we will finish 5th or 6th in the playoffs. Also i think Denver got like 2 hours and us, only 15 mins? WHY???

15 minutes is ridiculous. I watched the Nets for two hours. There were other teams as well that they showed for at least an hour and a 1/2.

Yeah, the Suns/Sonics/Clippers/Bobcats/Wizards, some more. All got inside-facility stuff with extended practice/scrimmages and then interviews right off to the side of the courts with players. Now the last couple weeks it's all been recaps/crammed/combo shows of 1/2 hour.

He has an attitude that I do not like. Bonzi roughing Garcia, the way he did it, is just part of that attitude I cant stand about. Living here in Portland, Oregon I have seen this act before. Nothing has changed. This video gave a little window veiw into the Bonzi Ive seen before. To say I was smoking crack because I said something negative about Bonzi is childish. I didnt give any reason because I thought it would be brought up in the thread and I didnt want to take the time nor energy to come up with a defense of my statement. I'm going to form my opinion about Bonzi starting with the day he came to Sacramento. It's all I would ask of anyone to do for me...

Yoda - I was just messing around w/ the crack smoking comment. Your other posts have merit usually....but if Bonzi Wells wants to play w/ a chip on his shoulder...GREAT! We have had too many choir boys (aka Kevin Martin, Peja, maybe Shareef) and not enough feisty bada**s who won't take no cr*p (guys like Wells, the departed Mo Evans and Matt Barnes, Skinner and Big Nasty). A purty jump shooting and passing team will not get us back where we belong to the WCF....we need to form a culture of toughness too, and Bonzi can be part of that.
For those who missed it, it was not much too miss anyway, but the best part was when Cisco and Shareef were getting their ankles taped, and Cisco was complaining he had to get Jamba juices every day for Shareef, b/c he is a rookie and has to pay his dues. Turns out Shareef thought Cisco was a lottery pick and could pick up the tab no problem with his big contract....while Cisco lied and said he was a 2nd round pick and would be broke by the end of the year.
Saw C-Webb play tonight against the Knicks....he has lost about 15-20 pounds but his mobility looks little improved. Sad really. Doesn't stop him from shooting, and missing, though. The Philly trio is looking mighty sweet about now in exchange for a guy whose skills look like they will never be remotely what they were. Matt Barnes played great for the Knicks...aggressive and poised, hit shots, attacks the basket. Isiah and Larry Brown have to find a spot for him.

Bonzi got a little rough, but I think it was more about initiation than anything. I like to see them playing with a little edge in practice.

That is a hard thing to do, saying this guy now gets a completely clean slate based on him putting on a Kings uni. Does he magically become a different person by a being a King? No, same guy.VF21 said:

I do, however, find it hard to believe that anyone who watched how Bonzi played with Garcia and thought, "This is great. Bonzi is a swell guy. He is such a kind and helpful man by smacking the rookie after the whistle. Boy what self-control, what leadership, what a teacher. This is sure the type of guy I want to represent my city on a national stage. Go Bonzi and thank you."

I got to watch it and I liked what I saw. Bonzi complimented Garcia in the little interview with him and said he was a good player (can't remember word for word)and actually said he was going to be a little rough with him in practice so he would be ready for the regular season. It was not malicious or mean in anyway. I saw nothing last night that would make me dislike Bonzi at all. I was mad that it was only 15 minutes and those clips of 02,03,04 and 05 playoffs hurt. Loved the Eric Daniels, Mike Bibby echange. That was cute. I am just ready for the regular season to start now.

Remember (of course you guys do) the Kings of 2001, 2002, 20003? They played with a chip on their shoulders, kind of what Bonzi was showing in practice. We need that, beside an occasional Bibby dance down the court, we need a little edge to our game. A little attitude never hurt.SacTownKid said:

After watching the NBAtv show, i have more respect for Bonzi than i did before. I liked how he was rough with Cisco. Geez, it's nothing personal. It's like a coach criticizing a good player. He doesn't have anything against that player, he is simply trying to help that player grow and get better. This is the NBA, not middle school.
