Funny...my aunt and uncle live in Oakview...
Stupid human stories: My brother and sister-in-law are in Yellowstone right now. She was telling me a tourist was gored by a bison last month. He was taking pictures from 10 feet away and the buffalo charged and gored him in the upper thigh. He's okay, it wasn't life-threatening.
Even more mind-boggling was what they witnessed first-hand yesterday. A mother let her two little girls run into the woods after a black bear while she waited for them in the car.![]()

I am enjoying having my Facebook language set at English (Pirate) more than I really should. I am still laughing at some of the stuff that pops up because of that.
It is always time to play cards, so long as cards = spades...
I did not know, until four minutes ago, that Maya Rudolph is Minnie Ripperton's daughter.
Click settings, than go to language, its in the pull down but towards the bottom, not with the other English versions.okay. I want to try it! How did you get that?

Speaking of pirates, I have escaped (hence the return after lo this long abscence) I would have escaped sooner, but there was more rum than I thought
Darn those immature kids!Went and saw the King Tut exhibit at the de Young museum in SF yesterday and spent some time at the California Academy of Sciences today. Nice trip, would have been better if our 6 year old was not so, well, 6 year old-ish at times.![]()
I loved that kind of stuff, too. I remember going to the LA Natural History Museum and, if my memory is correct, the La Brea Tarpits are at that location. Of course, we had quite a few school field trips that I remember. I think one was the LA Philarmonic, I know I went to the opera and the LA Times. A personl favorite was a visit to the Mother's Cookies plant. Yum!When I was in kindergarden I loved going to museums. I wish my family did that more often back then.
I have family near DC and we've visited a few of the Smithsonian museums. I remember one had a submarine simulator where you and 4 family members are placed in simulation room with a large screen. None of my relatives knew what they were doing and we eventually ran out of air. I was a horrible captain for a 9 year old.I still like museums. Washington DC is a dream come true. There are something like 26 or 27 different Smithsonian museums and they are all free. You have to pay for special exhibits, but there's so much to see you won't feel like you missed a lot by skipping special exhibits. I could easily spend a month there and its so easy to get around on the subway.
Jewel is at 18 months. I only blinked once, I swear.I can't believe Ziah is 1 month already.
