Effin A...

Everyone remember my "drama" from a bit earlier? Well, I should have listened to you all and just dumped the guy as a friend right then and there.

Now "My @$$ is grass" because I was just being a friend to the girl he just broke up with...The same girl who is also my other best friend...

Never once did I think I'd be going through some drama like this...I tend to shy away from problems...



Updates will come...I just need to get the stuff off me chest.
 
Sorry to hear that Slab, I hope it all turns out OK. Keep us informed. Sometimes we give good advice if you choose to take it.;)
 
Here's the full story...I just need this off my chest, and this is somewhere where I know I can talk.

I went over to his house the other day...He knew me and her were friends, so he just says..."You know, can you just not talk to her until the drama blows over?" I reluctantly agree after him laying a guilt trip on me (Id never do that to you...Stuff like that) Later that night she shows up at my house, and I say..."You know, he asked me to not talk to you until the drama blows over...Im sorry..." She starts crying and is all "I really need a friend right now, please don't do this to me...." I'm now completly torn, so I decide what could it hurt? We hang out for awhile, this eventually gets back to him, and he is enfuriated...Now he thinks im "Obsessed with her..." Stuff gets outa hand fast. Thats all I need to say about that.

I mean...Did I do the right thing? Did I really screw up as bad as it's been made to believe? I know I "lied" but....I dunno...Im completly torn up inside thinking about it all, so Im done.

...Drama = BAD...

Oh, and one more thing, now I know to avoid ever getting to know my friends girlfriends as more than a casual acquaintance.
 
it sounds to me like this guy has some issues. If you and this girl are only platonic, he has no reason to go crazy. I would advise you to keep your distance from both of them for a little while then see what happens. I think she showed bad judgment coming to you. I'm sure she has other friends not so directly involved and that's where she should have gone. Just my 2 cents for what it's worth. She may want more from you than just friendship so be careful especially as she's vulnerable right now.

That's where the problem lies...She moved from her hometown to live with him down here...She really only knew his friends, and it just happened to be me that was the one she got closest with.

Either way, she's moving back home for the rest of the next sememster, and Im avoiding him at all costs...So I got the distance (hopefully) covered.

I thank you for actually being someone to talk to, because I'd rather not talk about this to family, and I've been spun off as "the bad guy" to all our other friends.
 
I finally got my husband to join me in the gym today. He's looking to bulk up somewhat (he's 53, 5'7" 122 lbs.). He's sore as hell right now from using the weight machines. I hope he does more cardio in the future (he didn't last long on the elliptical) - he's got to keep up with me.

I'm losing my patience with people who are clueless about cell phone ettiquette. Today I had a woman in my store to place an order who felt it was perfectly fine to carry on a phone conversation while trying to place her order. When I'm working with a client, I give them my univided attention - is it to much to expect the same in return? She could have at least finished her call before coming in!
 
I totally agree with you arwen. People are getting ridiculous with their phones.
It's the same working in restaurants, servers can't even get the order because people on the phone. I'm sorry but it's just rude.

Just last week I had a woman in my office asking about our services. Apparently, she needed to make a phone call after we were done speaking. For some reason I will never quite grasp, she sent her husband out to wait in the car while she stayed in our office to make her call. He's out in the car in the heat, she's sitting in our reception area talking as loud as can be for about seven minutes before finishing her call, hanging up, and walking out the door!!?

Even retelling the incident, my mind is boggled. Why on earth would you stay in someone's office specifically to make a phone call on your cell??? I bloody hate cell phones. I have one with a walkie talkie on it for work purposes and I want to throw that thing against the wall every time it chirps.
 
And just ANOTHER good reason for living in the middle of the forest? Cell phones don't work up here, except in isolated spots. There are actually a couple of locations with strange-looking circles painted on the road with spray paint. Graffiti? Nope. They're actually put there periodically by people who have found a tiny window of reception.
 
I love my cell phone. It is sooooo handy. I am, however, a courteous cell phone user.

And, when my 76 yr old mother and her 75 yr old sister get on the road for a trip, I dang well want them to have a cell phone with them. They are courteous too. Must be where I got it.
 
I love my cell phone! I only use it at night, though, because I can't exceed my monthly day-time minutes, so I can't upset people.

And I just did this rediculous 3 page paper on "The abstract theory of self."

I really dont know how I pumped three pages into that (In one night no less!), but I did it, and Im actually pretty proud of it...I love being a decent writer.

Oh, don't get me wrong. Cell phones can be incredibly handy. As much as it may bother me when I'm chirped at work with the walkie talkie, I can't imagine doing my job without it. They're also great to have in case of emergency.

Just for talking on the phone though? No thanks. I can't think of many things more unpleasant than walking down the street and "chatting" on my cell phone. My friends/family are pretty used to me by now -- if you're calling me on the cell, it better damn well be a matter of some urgency. Telling me that your cat just did a somersault can wait until I get home.

I agree with you and I love talking on mine, but not when I have to interact with people. The call can wait unless it is emergency and that's not very often. They really need to start cracking down on the usage. There's signs in the post ofice not to use phones because it holds up the line but people still do it. It's just getting ridiculous! I know if I go out to eat with someone and they want to talk on the phone for the whole meal, I will leave. That's just disrespectful and I see it all the time.

THEN STOMP THE LIVIN' DAYLIGHTS OUTTA OF IT !!!! ;)

.... but of course, then be polite and hand it right back to her with a smile :)
 
I am also one who just uses my cell phone for emergency calls. I know I’m throwing away minutes that I pay for, but I just can’t imagine having a personal conversation when I need to concentrate on other things.

I would have liked to, but would rather not face destruction of property charges. 99.9% of my clients are courteous, but for some reason this woman just irritated the hell of out me yesterday. Probably becasue she was using the small earphone type which I couldn't even see under her long hair - I was never sure if she was talking to me, or to her caller. It seemed almost as though she was talking to herself.
