Your people could afford for you to go to CU, SCAD and NYU?

Shoot, son, I ain't even mad at ya.
Hahaha! Thanks, Slim. I didn't go all at the same time. NYU first semester, then left because it was too damn expensive. Transferred to SCAD (too many weirdos). Ended up at Chapman - and I'm still feeling the burn of student loans

Today I had a pleasant surprise and ran into Brad Miller today. I didn't recognize him initially because 6'11 didn't look all that tall in person. He was with his teeny little daughter.

6'11" didn't look all that tall. Just how tall are you, lol? Brad always struck me as a pretty nice guy. I'm glad he still has a house in Sacramento and gets to some of the games.

So, Andrew Wiggins? I know this isn't in the prospects thread, but has anyone heard of him? Or if they have, what's the scoop? Star or bust?
You need to post things in their proper places. I'm pretty sure there's information about Andrew Wiggins in the Prospects area. If not, that's where your question belongs. We try and keep things somewhat orderly so that people will see and respond to the topics they're interested in and not have to search through stuff that may not be of interest to them. I'm going to copy your post into the Prospects area.

Got it.

Is anyone an Asimov fan? I just re-watched "I, Robot" and although it is a good action flic, it doesn't recreated the environment Asimov created. The Robot series were a series of stories that made you think. They made you think how to use the three laws of robotics to solve a problem. Masterful. BTW, the creation of the three laws of robotics were the genius of Asimov as, although they seemed simple, they were darn near all inclusive to create the perfect and SAFE robot.

Agreed. That was one reason I didn't care for the movie as much as I thought I might. The books were a great read.

And, if you remember, I took Asimov in the author draft. ;)

And I was not happy about it. I liked the movie but only because I knew from the get go that it was NOT going to live up to my expectations. Much like other movies lately based on books, they just have to leave out too many details and levels to make it palpable for general public consumption.

I'm a big fan. A few summers ago, I chewed through the entire Foundation series for fun. (Now that I think about it, it was pre-kid, so it was more than a few summers ago...)

Ah......Who would've thought, this thread was started in 2004 and still going......I bet if I go back to the begining of this thread, there'll be talk of a Kings championship...*Sighs*

Two things:

1. The thread was started LONG before 2004. In September of that year we had a catastrophe server failure, causing us to have to rebuild the board from scratch. Luckily, we had a lot of dedicated members who stuck around and rejoined. That's why you'll see some of us with join dates prior to 2004.

2. This thread is never about the Kings. It's about random thoughts, observations, etc.

OMG! A tubiscus sighting?!?! How the heck are you? And how's the lovely Bibbylicious? Now that it appears the Maloof stench will soon be out of the air, I'm hoping we can get the old gang together again for some great Kingsfans.com game nights...and other cool stuff. :)
