When the GS fans gave Draymond a hero's welcome (a full-on standing ovation the first time he checked into the game in Game 4) for stomping on Domas and claiming self-defense, we already knew who they were. Of course they're still whining about it. They have 4 championships in the last decade and a league that bends over backwards to enable their star players' misbehavior. There's no such thing as enough for those fans.

So I guess this means Green is going to be dusting off his CV... It will be interesting to see how refs call him when he's still under wearing Warriors uniform

Can we agree Lakers-Warriors was a dreadfully boring and sloppy series? Other than Game 1, it was two over-the-hill, unbalanced teams exchanging lopsided blowouts - neither of which looked as if they really deserved to be in the second round. (And Game 1 only became close when the Lakers apparently stopped knowing how to play basketball for 10 minutes in the 4th).

I don’t mean this as sour grapes. The Warriors, specifically Curry, Looney, and intermittently Green, answered the challenge of the young Kings’ - who showed promise, but were undone by inexperience, injuries, and certain players utterly disappearing when it mattered against a transcendent talent in Curry and a defending champion rallying to show its grit.

But in the second round, the Warriors looked completely cooked from the onset, outside of Curry still having enough juice to will them to a pair of wins - and Green evidently allowed to play under the NHL rulebook.

The Lakers now enter the Western Conference Finals having taken out two teams that looked ready to fold before the series even began.

I agree. The series was somewhat of a death rattle for both teams. LeBron and AD now have the task of playing a team that is much more consistent than they are. I only pray to the heavens that Boston makes it to the finals. In some event that LA is able to win the WCF on free throw attempts, there is no chance they beat Boston.

I think two things led to the Warriors losing.
First, the Kings wore them down.
Second, they were a poor matchup for the Lakers. The best way to beat the Lakers is to attack the basket. The Kings would have been a bad matchup for the Lakers.

Yeah, a friend who is a Lakers fan said immediately after the game yesterday that he thought the Kings would have beaten the Lakers. Wild that we’re maybe just a couple made 3s/and or defensive rebounds away from the WCF.

I only watched the end of the last game out of morbid curiosity, it was awful but I also this series it drew the highest cable ratings of the playoffs thus far. I think Kings-Warriors will ultimately be higher because of the network games? Also all they had ESPN for every cable game whereas quite a few Kings-Dubs were on TNT against other series and still drew pretty good. I have to imagine Kings-Lakers would have outdrawn it despite all the hubbub.

I don’t know if this means I’M being salty, but I’m getting a perverse joy seeing Warriors fans - having watched the same playoffs we all did - float Poole, Kuminga, Moody and a couple late round draft picks as a trade package, suggesting straight-faced that’ll bring them back an All-Star (Beal/Siakam/Lavine).
Given how the Wizards, Jazz & T'Wolves seemingly bent over backwards to help the Lakers improve their roster for surprisingly little return, I wouldn't be shocked to see it happen.

Sadly, it happens all the time in the NBA. It’s almost an open secret that teams try to help out the big market teams (Lakers, GSW, Boston, etc) because in the end, they get more money in TV revenues when the big market teams are doing well.

Makes it so hard for small market teams to compete. :(

It took me 3 or 4 attempts to get far enough to find Jim's usual Kerr sucks part of his rant. Pay the Kings an in-season tourney bonus just for that.
