I'm proud of my Dawgs, they had a rough couple of games but came back strong.
I really want a rematch of the Mich-OSU for the ntl. championship but it looks like USC again

This is going to tick off the ND faithful, but their loss to USC shows they have no business in a BCS game this year. They just can't compete against a top ranked team but money will talk and they'll get in because they are the top draw in college ball. And I'm sure they'll somehow wind up playing Michigan again since the Rose Bowl has the first pick this year.
Speaking of the Rose Bowl, if the BCS title game does go down as USC vs. tOSU I'm going to cry.

I agree completely! I was going to write something similar, but didn't because the Irish fans are a bit sensitive around here.
If it was just about bragging rights in the BCS that would be bad enough. However, when the Irish get an invite to a BCS game because they are a top draw it ends-up costing some other, more deserving university millions of dollars. It is almost criminal and why I find college f-ball to be corrupt.
Shame on the NCAA.
The real absurdity of it is that ND is going to get in at the probable expense of Louisville. The Big East was decimated when their big programs jumped to the ACC but the BCS is locked into the Big East. The extra BCS money and visibility going to two Big East programs will do a lot to rebuild the Big East conference in recognition and respectability. So it really is in the BCS's long term interest to see Rutgers and Louisville both go to their bowls if they win their respective games next week and both finish with 1 loss.
If ND must go to a BCS bowl they should play either Boise State or the ACC champ since neither of those teams are going to be draws and ND will at least be competitive against them.

Just pray that the Irish do not play another really good team again in the bowl. I would hate to see you embarrassed a 3rd time this year.
I'm not arguing that the Big East is a good conference, because it's not, although I'd put it on even footing with the "bigger and better" ACC for this particular season. My point was that the BCS has a vested interest in improving the Big East since they are tied to it and that a one loss Louisville is at least as deserving as Notre Dame, especially if they continue to be ranked higher in the BCS standings which they are right now (#6 vs. #10). ND is certainly a better team than Rutgers, but Rutgers gets the automatic bid if they beat WVU.

I noticed that before the USC game you printed "Go Irish" in really big, green letters. Now, after the game you are printing "Go Irish" in normal 2 point font, black letters.
And USC blows it for the Pac-10. Thanks a lot, I can't wait for another team to step up so I can root for them instead. As a Wildcat fan I hope Mr. Stoops finally delivers.

eta: I know everyone is watching the Kings game right now but there is some absolutely zany stuff going on right now... Arkansas just went up on Florida on an absolutely boneheaded/brilliant play (depending who you're rooting for). Florida is now in jeopardy of going from the title game after USC's loss to out of the BCS altogether.

USC loses and Cal Wins. Cal beating Arizona means Cal is in the Rose, but instead the bears gargle peanut butter and are now in the Holiday Bowl.

Cal beating Arizona and USC would have put them in the BCS title game. If they wanted the Rose all they needed to do was beat USC. Arizona is my team but since I'm still hoping the Pac-10 can produce a second national power I was even a little ticked they picked that game for their huge upset (last year it came against a then undefeated UCLA if I remember correctly).
I'm a little sad that Arkansas couldn't hang on even though I could care less about the SEC. That punt returner just blew it. No way Florida wins without that idiot play.

Rutgers got robbed of a walk in touch down on a clear fumble inside the 10 yard line thanks to some refs quick whistle.
I hate how they do it now in the NFL where they automatically swallow the whistle so that the play will be reviewable - thus costing a team their replay. But the college replay system is a little different and the refs can call for a replay on their own so there was no reason to blow the whistle on a play like that.

I agree, every team I rooted for (Kings, Rutgers, Arkansas, 76ers) lost today, except for UCLA (because I wanted a rematch and I don't like USC

I don't think the rematch is in any way guaranteed right now. But between Ohio State, Florida and Michigan the only team I can even mildly root for is Michigan so I hope they get it.
ND fans should be happy because they are now actually the most deserving eligible* team for that final at-large bid.

Michigan got jobbed. I can understand why they dropped behind the Trojans last week - the margins between the two teams was in the hudredths or thousandths of the points. But there was almost a full point separating Michigan and Florida and so the pollsters decided to punish Michigan. Florida was a muffed punt from being out of the BCS altogether now they're in the title game.
That makes the BCS about 2 for the last 8? Can't they please just incorporate the important bowls with their traditional matchups into a playoff system already and give us a few consolation bowl matchups for the rest of the teams and something to do the week between Christmas and New Years.

It is just criminal....and it is every year. LSU gets a BCS bid when they do not even win their division within the conference. Badgers get left out with a single loss to a very, very good team.
Greed corrupts.........I argue that the BCS is the biggest corruption in all of sports in recent history. It only comes in second to the Black Sox scandal. It is my wish that one day a major university sues the NCAA over this greed and corruption.

Only 2 teams per conference in BCS bowls. I don't have a problem with that rule at all. Auburn might have a gripe about being left out as an SEC rep - they beat both LSU and Florida.
