(Even though most of y’all are Giants fans and the A’s fans like myself are so worn down at this point that I’m not sure how qualified I am to call myself a fan)

Baseball is so hilariously broken. The Dodgers get to spend $1 billion in deferred salary in addition to their $300 million payroll and the A's have to lose a 3rd round draft pick for signing a 30 year old pitcher who's spent 3 of the last 6 years essentially unable to pitch because of injuries (including Tommy John surgery) to a 3 year $67 million contract with an opt out in year 2. But maybe a Golden At-Bat will fix this? Rob Manfred can't retire fast enough for my taste.

Somehow two of the “big” deals on here (Chavy and Butler) wound up being huge busts (Chavez due to injury and Butler due to sucking). Also Cespy’s deal was a 3 year deal at like 11+ million per years which was a ridiculous value for him. Also the Chavez deal was like 20 years ago lol

Sasaki is only eligible for the international bonus pool money, which is mostly the same for every team. Sasaki is going to pick what he thinks is his optimal destination because there's basically no financial difference. Mathematicians will tell you that there's no such thing as a negative probability, but that's only because they haven't considered the odds that Sasaki will sign with the A's.
