Thank you Peja Stojakovic

:'( Goodbye Peja

GOOD LUCK!

I could never say it better then VF did. You were part of a KINGS era that won my heart.

I've been critical of him the past few months, but it is sad to see him go. I wish him the best and hope he'll make them Pacer fans who didn't want him eat their words. He is still a talented player and will contribute to a team.

When do we start the welcome back peja threat :)
We don't. We start the what do we trade Peja for threads again. He is as good as gone now. His feelings have been really hurt. He should pull an Artest and refuse to play for the Kings.

Pedja is a professional and has class.

Peja is a professional. He will NOT pull an Artest. You can start the who do we trade Peja for thread if you like. This has left a horrible taste in my mouth. No player deserves to be jerked around like that, especially by some tool like Ron Artest. I never should have second guessed myself. I KNEW he was incapable of doing anything we could actually use. Now, not only has he alienated himself from virtually every NBA fan with a modicum of sense, he has possibly had a major negative effect on one of the nicest guys to ever wear a Kings uniform.

The part about Peja pulling an Artest was a joke. Looks like Peja will be the first player to pull a DNP-RD. Did not play, Ron's decision.

I think what VF is trying to say is RON ARTEST SUCKS.

And I AGREE!

Hmmm. Let me think...

...

Why, I do believe you've hit the nail right on the head, QF.

Yes, I think you're entirely right.

RON ARTEST SUCKS!

Peja got me into the Kings and pretty much the NBA :(

Pacers are close to me though, I can just follow both teams

Same here.........I am sure that he will be traded at some point (or not resigned) but I love him because him and Vlade were what got me to start watching the Kings and the NBA. :D

I am sorry that I was at work when the trade came down. Now that is has been nixed (or so it seems) there is no point in saying a goodbye to Peja.

I want everyone here to know that I read every comment in this thread. You, my friends, and fellow members of KingsFans.com are one classy group of people. Even those who were ready to see Peja traded, had only nice things to say, and showed a real appreciation for what Peja brought to the Sacramento Kings. I am proud of you all.

To Peja, no matter what happens now, we want you to know that we love you for all you brought to us as fans, and to the community. You are a wonderful man.

Classy 6th, nicely done. I agree, through all of the venom spewing from all of our mouths we still took the time to recognize contributions to the team.

definitely !

I gotta admit it is kinda funny that people were saying thanks Peja and goodbye but all of a sudden he's going to be playing tommorow against NY. If I was Peja I would sit out this game and almost every game until I get traded. Just proves that you can't accept a trade until it becomes "official".

You are not Pedja

He is professional and he will do what he is asked. He might not like it but he will do it

And that is the differnece between a professional and a nut job like Ron Artest. Pedja will do want pros do, suit up, show up and do the job he contracted to do.

Exactly why he's better than Artest to me. Anyway, I won't put a goodbye in here until its official. I'm sorry this is happening this way for you and your family, Pedja, because of a person whose "profession" is being a self-centered jerk.

I was terribly upset when I first heard about the trade. Now that it has been nixed, I feel both a sense of relief and a distressing vulnerability that will probably always be hanging around with me every game I watch for the rest of the season.

Peja was the one who got me hooked to the Kings and to the NBA. The first game I watched had Doug, Bobby, and Vlade in black Kings unis. It never has been the same since and I know will never be the same, but no matter what happens and no matter where the road leads for Peja, I'll always owe him my love for the sport and I'll always be supporting him. He has, after all, always been one of my favorite Kings.

May as well bring this back up again but just wanted to add my comments. I just want to say thanks like many have. This team gave me something to follow and be so passionate about. I have never felt as much emotion for a sports team and starting five then the kings in their glory days. So thank you, and as a Pacers fan I hope it's a long career in blue and yellow.

Terrible way for you to leave Peja, I once again thank you fo everything you have done for the Sacramento Kings, and wish your career the best of luck in the future.

Thanks Peja.. for being a part of the great Kings years and giving us so many memories and participating in some truly thrilling games and times. You will be missed and I wish you luck in Indiana. You will always be a King in my eyes.

I've been disappointed in his play the past two years, but had he been healthy against the Lakers in the Horry Series - it would have been no contest. I respect him for playing game 6 that year and don't hold him responsible for missing a shot on the bum wheel.

He was a very good player. People tightened up on him since, and he has found he doesn't have the fight in him to respond.

thanks for the memories.
