Thank you Peja Stojakovic

By the time I found out about this yesterday the deal had already fallen through.

Thank you Peja for spending seven years here and helping put Sacramento on the NBA map. No matter how much we complained, (we do that to everyone), it's only because of your enormous talent we held you to such a high standard, and you measured up remarkably well, not only as an athlete, but as a person.

We'll miss you; good luck in everything!
~~

Thank you again Peja! You meant and you will still mean a lot to me and to the other guys on this board I am sure!
It will be so wierd seeing you in some other unform after this 7 and a half years, but that's the way it is.
I wish you all the best in next seasons.
Good bye man,I love you!:(

He was one member of the team that made basketball fun for me to watch. The last member of that team still on the Kings. That team is now completely gone.

The Kings are dead. Long live the Kings.

I wish Peja the best in his new home(s). I hope he finds that passion for the game again, because when he's on, he's the best shooter in the league. I hope Larry Bird is able to expand his game to the fullest. And I hope he never owns us like most of the other ex-Kings do. Good luck Peja.

And the final King of THE Kings is gone. I wish him the best of luck in Indiana. We will never forget you, or the highs and lows we experienced together. Thank you for the memories, Peja. You were, and always will be, a class act.

maybe they kept him long enough to break mitch's record...

I think VF has summed it up the best. Thank you Pedja for the most precious memories you have given us. You will always be a part of the real Kings no matter how hard some people will try to take that away from you.

All the very best to you and your family in future endeavours and may you rediscover yourself in Indiana under Bird's watchful eye. You deserved a bit more respect but sometimes that how things work out :(

Hope to see you at WC in Japan later this year :)

One final thanks to Peja & everything he brought to this team. Peja, thanks for all the great memories. The last few years have been an incredible ride, and they wouldn't have been the same without you. Don't let the last couple of days take away from all the great times you had in Sacramento. Always be glad you were a King, I know we are.

Thank you Peja.

Thank you for being part of something special.

Thank you for the rainbow threes

When the Kings were a team who could bring out the best in you, you were awesome.

I will miss you Peja! I will still keep my license plate "PEJAFAN". I will always be a fan of yours! You are a big part of some of the greatest memories Kings fans have had! Best of luck!

:( :( :(

bye bye to my man!!!! i'm gonna miss those 3's. oh hell i'm just gonna miss you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

good bye to the longest tenured sac king

Thanks Peja! There was a time we never knew if you would end up coming to Sacramento, now it's hard to remember a time without you in Sacramento. The era is over, but the memories remain.

Good luck and can't wait until your return to ARCO where you will get the love you deserve! Tell Scot we said hi!

He will be missed. What he had with the Kings was something special and I'm sure none of us will forget it. I wish the best for him in Pacers (except when he plays the Kings).

I won't miss him but I do say good luck and hopefully he will get his mojo back and start playing like he can again. I think he will under Carlisle.

I'll miss him, **** yes I'll miss him. Peja got me back into the NBA.
My heart though is still with the kings but I'll keep an eye on my main man Peja.

Thanks for everything Peja and goodluck at indiana

Returning to this board simply out of great respect to Peja for the class act that he was and to echo the voice quoted above...

Wish you only the best, Peja. You were the last remnant of a glorious era in the history of the organization.

Not sure where it's all going but it's a whole different 'line-up' that's for sure.

Hoping both teams benefit.

A chapter has closed.

You beat me to the punch, Slim, so I'll just add my comments to yours:

Thank you, Peja! And Jason, Doug, Chris and Vlade!!

With the trade of Peja Stojakovic to the Indiana Pacers, the ride that officially started with Jason, Doug, Peja, Chris and Vlade has now officially ended.

Good lord, what a ride it was!

Sacramento Kings fans have truly been blessed. We got a team here in the first place, which a lot of people said would never happen. We went to the games and we supported our team even when they stunk up the court on a nightly basis. We suffered through years of living in the bottom of the NBA well, only peeking out for all-too-rare glimpses of sunlight.

Then it started. There was a strike, and a shortened season. When the Kings took the court after the strike was settled, something wonderful and amazing started happening. The Kings started winning!!!

The Kings finished that short season with a record of 27-23, and they went to the playoffs! Yes, the playoffs. The games played AFTER the regular season ended.

And the ride began in earnest...

Hedo Turkoglu came on board, as did Bobby Jackson and Doug Christie. And the ride started going faster...

It was a great time. I don't have to relive it for those of you who were around. It's burned forever into your memories.

There was even a cover on Sports Illustrated, and the Kings weren't being
posterized.

Then, the trade. Jason for Mike and things got even more interesting.

...

...

Now, that ride is over. Jason, Vlade, Doug and Chris are gone. Peja is now gone. It was a great ride but it is now a part of Kings history forever.

And this Kings fan is more grateful than she can ever express for the memories...and has already bought her ticket and has a seat on the next ride.

Good lord, I love this team!

Thank you again, Predrag Stojakovic. I proudly stand and give you one last ovation as a Sacramento King!!!

Very well said, VF. My sentiments exactly.

Now I can actually say thank you Peja. For EVERYTHING.

All your exciting plays. Your catches form Doug Cristie and Vlade, I loved your quick shooting and your shooting styles.

I loved your 3 pointers every single time you made them. I LOVED YOUR PROFESSIONALISM.

I respected him a lot of times and I wish him well in Indiana.

I WILL MISS YOU PEJA!!!

Thank you Peja Stojakovic for all that you have done and the great memories you leave behind.

I felt a trade had to be done considering the circumstances, but I see great things in the future for Peja in Indiana. Larry Bird has always had a liking for him and hopefully him and Rick Carlisle help Peja improve his game to another level.

Good luck. You will be missed.

I'll miss him. He'll always be a King in my book. As will the others that have come and gone. I hope that he gets his groove back in Indiana and go back to Sacramento to finish his career.

THANK YOU, PEJA!!

I was really looking forward to taking the kids to the Vlade-Peja camp this summer. Oh well, maybe we'll visit Artest in jail....:(

That is my dream right now,but knowing Petrie and Maloofs...they don't want to do it.

Yeah, its definatly not going to happen since Maloofs just said in an interview they want to look forward, and never the past.

thank you peja. i give my thanks to you as equally as i gave my welcome to ron artest, and i know we, the fans, all wish you luck in indiana.

I'm sorry to see Peja go. I didn't like the trade yesterday and I still don't like it. I'm not sure what the Maloof's are thinking about. they are going to destroy any cemistry this team has. This guy is a certified nut case. I just hate to see Peja go.

Buon Viaggio and In bocca al lupo. I can't imagine him in any other color but I am sure he will pull it off. I wish Peja much success and continued happiness with his family and career.
