Thank you Peja Stojakovic

Im glad im not the only one who is sad about this, its hard for me to believe that peja wont be here anymore, im sure once artest gets here and if he plays hard it will help, but right now, its just soooo sad...i will say it again THANK YOU PEJA!!!!!

Thanks Peja for allowing us to see one of the sweetest shots in the game. I hope your new situation allows you to find a new spark and continue on an already great career.

Wow, VF 21, your post brought tears to my eyes. Another piece of the puzzle gone.. it just feels weird.

Thank you Peja for everything you have brought to this team. Watching a Kings game will never be quite the same without hearing "PEJA FOR THREE!!!!!" I wish you the best of luck with the Pacers, and hope that I can be at Arco to give you an ovation when you return to visit.

Thanks for the being apart of the excitement Peja. You were apart of the first Golden Era of Sacramento Kings history. Good luck in Indiana. I have to be honest I will miss you as a person, not you as a player. You have definitely frustrated me at times, and made me jump out of my seat other times. So, for that I say thank you.

Pedrag helped bring in a new era of excitement to the Kings - a great part of our history. Was one who helped me become a kings fan and will always have a special place in my heart. I think, in the long run, this trade will be good for him and for the kings. Best wishes!

Thank you Peja,

You have been one of my favorite Kings players. I remember the night I heard we drafted you and then the local media/fans that were not happy with picking you. I think hindsight you proved them all wrong.

I have to tell my boys when they get home and they love Peja.

I will add him to my Kings Fans' Hall of Fame as soon as the deal is official... would anyone be so kind to help write a brief bio on Peja?

It is simply not fair to anyone, especially Peja to let any ill feelings that might have accumulated recently overshadow everything he has done for this team, franchise and city. My sincere thanks to you, Peja.

We were given the opportunity to watching you break into the NBA and evolve to eventually an All-Star. I will miss so much of what you brought to this team, your community involvement and really just waiting for that 3 all the way from the parking lot.:) I wish you nothing but the best.

thank you peja stojakovic for many great seasons. it's a shame the last two have been less than what we hoped, but kings fans wish you the best. it was time to move on...

was about to change my username to Peja_4_3 but then Peja gets traded. I would really miss Peja. He's one of the reasons i'm a Kings fan. I feel very sad. But his game and heart couldnt' be seen this year with the way he's playing, so i think it's good for both teams and players as well. I bet he'll be very good with the Pacers with their inside prescence with JO. I just hope Artest get's his head right with the Kings and help turn this team around. Kings definitely have good perimeter defense now with Bonzi and Artest.

I bet my friend who plays the Pacers in the Live games is celebrating now. I use to play against him with his Miller and the Pacers. Now he has my Peja as his Reggie replacement. Pacers will definitely be a big threat now from outside in the game and in the real NBA.

Ok now I'm waiting for someone to make one of those sad Peja videos with all the memories!!! Hurry I wanna see it!

I made a thread about it in art Studio..

Although I have been against Peja a bit in the previous months, I'll be the first to admit that I am forever grateful for what he brought to the franchise. His threes from 4 feet past the three point arc will forever be etched in memory. Thus officially ends the reign of Sacramento's greatest group of individual basketball players.

I always complained about Peja and always wanted to trade him for Artest but now I'm almost in tears. I like the trade but I don't want to see Peja go. He must be very upset. It hurts to not be able to see him in a Kings uniform again (even though I'm lucky if I get to see one Kings game a year). I love you Peja. Well done and best of luck.

Thanks #16. Hopefully we will see you in the NBA Finals (even though I do feel eventually he will be a Laker).

It was great while it lasted, wish we would have seen you at your healthiest and at your best. Knock them dead in Indy

I am soooooooo excited!!!

You beat me to the punch, Slim, so I'll just add my comments to yours:

Thank you, Peja! And Jason, Doug, Chris and Vlade!!

With the trade of Peja Stojakovic to the Indiana Pacers, the ride that officially started with Jason, Doug, Peja, Chris and Vlade has now officially ended.

Good lord, what a ride it was!

Sacramento Kings fans have truly been blessed. We got a team here in the first place, which a lot of people said would never happen. We went to the games and we supported our team even when they stunk up the court on a nightly basis. We suffered through years of living in the bottom of the NBA well, only peeking out for all-too-rare glimpses of sunlight.

Then it started. There was a strike, and a shortened season. When the Kings took the court after the strike was settled, something wonderful and amazing started happening. The Kings started winning!!!

The Kings finished that short season with a record of 27-23, and they went to the playoffs! Yes, the playoffs. The games played AFTER the regular season ended.

And the ride began in earnest...

Hedo Turkoglu came on board, as did Bobby Jackson and Doug Christie. And the ride started going faster...

It was a great time. I don't have to relive it for those of you who were around. It's burned forever into your memories.

There was even a cover on Sports Illustrated, and the Kings weren't being
posterized.

Then, the trade. Jason for Mike and things got even more interesting.

...

...

Now, that ride is over. Jason, Vlade, Doug and Chris are gone. Peja is now gone. It was a great ride but it is now a part of Kings history forever.

And this Kings fan is more grateful than she can ever express for the memories...and has already bought her ticket and has a seat on the next ride.

Good lord, I love this team!

Thank you again, Predrag Stojakovic. I proudly stand and give you one last ovation as a Sacramento King!!!

You said it all. THANK YOU, PEJA!!

Thanks Peja. I didn't always think the kindest thoughts about you, but you were a King, and that is all that mattered.

Good luck and thanks.

Peja was my main man ...

and i guess still is

I think he will play better over there, this season, last season ... dunno the reasons ... were not too good

i have a feeling he will really play well over there

well thanx for the kings' memories and I can only welcome Pacers' memories that are still to come :p
