I think T-Will is a good role player and actually played really well for us, as for GP he's fired/not extended

Just because a guy plays one or two games for a team that doesn't have a backup PG doesn't mean we made a wrong move in not signing him. You know who else is balling right now? Francisco Garcia and Aaron Brooks.

While I agree with you, Francisco Garcia and Aaron Brooks ARE good players. This current Sacramento team is where good players go to die. A lot of players leave and go on to be successful at great teams. For some reason they couldn't succeed in a crappy system (sarcasm).

Tyreke/TWill as guards duo was a lot of fun. Problem is TWill is not an off the ball player. He's career .659 FT shooter so you probably have to give up on him as 3-pt bomber. This means he better handle the ball most of the time he's on the floor. No place for Thomas and Thornton, which seems like too much of turnover judging by some early Sac-to group statement.

I just think that there are reasons why TWill has yet to make a name for himself in the league. The OP made it sound as if TWill is some big name player that we could have kept but didn't, who is now tearing it up in Boston as their PG in the playoffs. On the contrary, this is a guy who has bounced around the league, who Boston signed to a 10-day contract and who is playing PG for them only because Rondo is out and Bradley and Terry aren't playmakers. He may be talented but I don't think you can really fault our FO for not re-signing him.

The truth is that TWill isn't tearing it up in the playoffs at all. He has averaged about 9 mins a game and done little while on the floor (despite playing mostly in garbage time).

Pairing him up with Reke would've been great defensively, but offensively they both are mediocre shooters at best, so it wouldn't have worked out(since we wouldn't have any solid floorspacing). But he was pretty good next to Jimmer, with T-Will being the primary ballhandler and distributor while Fredette was playing off the ball and could just focus solely on shooting.

Was it a bad move not to sign him? Maybe it was, but we don't know how it played out behind the scenes, maybe he asked for too much money or something. I liked him though.

Anyone who watched him play here wanted him back.

What killed me was the Brooks signing... We could have had Williams for the minimum, but paid Brooks 3mil instead.

Playing with Williams was the best Jimmer has ever looked.
