Not that long ago we we worried about being a lottery team. Now we are worried that we slipped back to 8th. I'm still a happy Kings fan.

It's a one loss. Move on.
i agree....it was one loss...but an upsetting one cuz we had such a big lead and blew it..but whatever hopefully we win sat

well technicaly we were ready in '03 before webber's knee decided it didn't want to work anymore. so its really only been 3 years that the kings weren't a threat to anyone.

I've tried to forget that... Well, pretty much all of our playoff dissappointments...

anyway, it's been a while.

Suns 23 28 33 39 123
Kings 30 38 16 26 110

The 3rd quarter killed the Kings. They could have survived the 39 to 26 4th if they had kept pace in the 3rd.

The line's rather long; I'm gonna go get a chocolate bar first.
LOL! Sounds like a plan!

Yes, I'm disappointed with this loss. Losing is never fun, but this was getting owned on our home court and it was a meltdown of gargantuan proportions.

This team continues to totally baffle me. They are toying with my emotions. ;)

I have a funny feeling Rick will use the three days off to hammer hom the point that these guys can't get too full of themselves. We haven't proven anything yet, and we are not good enough to buy into whatever hype we had.

I have a feeling the message sets in and we put on a good show in Denver. Sort of like how we followed Dallas with SA.

im concerned with KT. I hope this kind of attidude and play does not show up in the playoffs.
What do you mean by "attitude" I was listening on the radio and Gerold didn't say anything about him pouting. Did you see something happen?

To me last year loss when a non goal tending call was more upsetting. I will be over this one by tomorrow (which is in 27 minutes for me here in Chicago area) :)

Yeah, it sucks, but I think people need to give credit where credit is due- the Suns shot lights out in the second half. And I mean every guy who stepped on the floor- yeah even Brian Grant- was hitting shots.

I was disappointed that the Kings got out of their offense- stopped passing the ball, turned the ball over, forced up shots...

Hopefully these next 4 days will come in handy so the Kings can get some rest, get focused and win the last 3 games.

And remember the Lakers still have to play the Suns, so it ain't over til it's over.

Im talking about his attidude towards approaching and playing the past few games. He just doesn't bring all his effort and turns the ball over. He also looks lost.

They seem to do that when a team begins to really get ahead on them. They stop playing as a team.

KT, Martin, Garcia...all of them have been very...off...

(OK I'm not doing my taxes yet, but I will, I promise)
Yes and that's a real problem for the playoffs. Maybe this 3-day break will help. Time to get closer to 100% healthy and time to get in some real practice. We can only hope.

(Who wants to do taxes anyway.)

Well it could be worse, we could really suck like we did 4 months ago. Who'd have thought then that we'd even be considering PO's?
Well to a non-playoff team a loss like this would be expected.

in retrospect though - i don't know why I didn't expect this after this (or last) season.

I don't know. I've had a bad day/week/year/two/three for other reasons. Shouldn't blame Kings for that, I just wish they were more consistent/focused.

I know, but this team has been so mind-boggling in their inconsistency. Makes it hard.

Tank was just saying on House Party that he thinks this game will be more de-moralizing for the Kings than the Mavs loss, because the team knows they didn't play well in the second half and really should have won this one.

I agree, I find that they think they need to hurry up and score. If they would have more patience with their offense and settle down, I think they would get back in it. However, that sort of patience comes from championship caliber teams, we still need to get there.

Ron saying the team shot well enough to win, but their defense was suspect. Said they should have won, but they'll do better next time. They'll get it back.

That's what I think. This team has not played together very long. It takes time to develop that kind of trust in one another and confidence as a group.

Haha, you gotta love Ron. Win or loss, I love the way he answers questions. He brings swagger, that's for sure. ;)

If we win our last 3, we may still have a chance at the 7th seed cause the Lakers will have to play the Suns again. Hopefully Suns beat the Lakers.

Yeah, he was frustrated, but he doesn't seem to get too high or too low. It always seems like he wants to go right out and play again so he can do better. I like that. :)

Oh we still have a shot at 7th. Definitely need to hold onto 8th, tho. Getting INTO the playoffs is what they have to focus on.

SAR said they didn't play with the same intensity and focus in the 2nd half. Said its not a physical or talent issue, because the Kings have shown they can beat them.

If we start SAR we'll likely get even LESS production from KT.
At this point, how much less can we get?

It's pretty clear that Kenny is reverting to his old form. As SAR's playing time has increased, Kenny's productivity - even though he's still starting - has dropped proportionally. I've seen him with a pouty face as he leaves the court and caught glimpses of dagger looks across the court...
