ORLANDO, Fla. -- Steve Francis was suspended indefinitely by the Orlando Magic on Thursday for what the club said was "conduct detrimental to the team."

Magic spokesman Joel Glass said the team had no further comment on the specifics of the suspension. He said Francis wasn't making the flight to Portland for a Friday night game against the Trail Blazers.

Francis is averaging 16.6 points, second on the team, and a team-high 5.4 assists.

The Magic (13-20) lost 113-104 in Seattle on Wednesday night, the team's fifth loss in its past six games.

The guard was suspended for three games by the NBA late last season for kicking a courtside photographer in a game at Seattle.

Successful ScenarioDue to Sacramento and Orlando being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Sacramento and Orlando had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

All we need is Steve Francis and sure Magic can't wait to get rid of Howard. Trade proposals should be at least somewhat realistic. Just because RealGM says that the trade scenario is succesfull - it doesn't mean that it makes sence

We are catching some nice injury/suspension breaks here recently.
You mean after we are down 2 or pretty much 3 starters. It is like they cut Your legs of and then give You a free wheelchair

Apparently Francis refused to be put back in the game yesterday and after the game he apparently got into a situation with the team afterwords. I got this from the Magic board.

Dwight Howard isn't going anywhere for anybody not named LeBron. We could probably offer them our entire starting lineup and get a "no thanks". Franchise? Er...not at all sure he can help. A team like Minnesota, sure, maybe. But think we are different and kind of beyond that now.

Steve Francis to the Kings? Oh yeah- that'd work out just wonderfully.

You think Cuttino Mobley didn't fit in? He's the most generous sharing guy in the world compared to Stevie Franchise.

Francis on the Kings? Lord, I hope not.

Just wondering, what is the web address to that Magic board?
