In a deal that NBA front-office sources said came together quickly Sunday night and received the needed league approval Monday morning, Golden State sent Jackson and guard Acie Law to the Bobcats in exchange for veteran swingmen Raja Bell and Vladimir Radmanovic....

-MJ ruining another franchise again off the court. I don't get it for the Bobcats. Not sure why you want drama and a longer contract and an older player. Unless MJ thinks Law and Jackson is the next BJ Armstrong and Pippen? *shurgs*

Good trade for both teams. The bobcats needed a player who can galvanize the team, and the Warriors needed a big who can shoot and a veteran who can teach "kid davidson" how to play the the position of undersized 2. Ellis will be traded over the summer, because they still aren't sure how good he is.

Eh, the Bobcats are my second-favorite team, and I support this trade. They needed a shooter to spread the court for Wallace, and they got one.

What I'd like to know is what the hell are they going to do with Acie Law?
Matching salaries and it's always nice to have a 3rd PG in case of injury. IMO, it's the most important position on the floor so FO's should be obligated to have 3 PG's and oddly enough, the Bobcats only had 2. Good move to get him thrown in.

Bell is actually older than Jackson and approaching done as a stopper. And Law is of course youngfer than Vlad -- they actually got younger in this trade. Really not much downside for them assuming Brown can conrol Jackson. Somehwat makes up for the dippy JRich for Bell trade from last year. So then they go and turn around and swap Bell for another Golden State malcontent. Its all just running in place, but I can certainly see why they would do it -- needed another offensive threat in the worst way.

That trade wasn't to get Bell, it was to get Diaw.

The Bobcats have been in desperate need of a scorer since that franchise was born. Jackson isn't the most efficient scorer in the league, but he can be pretty effective. Raja Bell is getting towards the end of his career as an NBA starter. They save money on Vlad Rad anyway. Maybe having Acie Law allows them to let Felton walk at the end of the year? I wouldn't call it a win for either team at this point. It just depends on how they fit in with their new teammates. Maybe addition by subtraction for Golden State. They still have a problem with Ellis and Nelson though.

….at least he didn’t go to a contender…Now all the Bobcats have to do is sign A.I and then they’ll be fine.

Players like Stephen Jackson make me sick.
