[Game] Spurs @ Kings - 11/9/12

i have tried to give Smart the benefit of the doubt. oh its early in the season, oh he's a good players coach and hes good in the press conferences. but no, im done. he's not cut out to be an NBA coach. get him the **** out of here

i keep reserving hope that SOMEONE (coaches, front office)_... AT LEAST ONE... ISN'T THIS STUPID !!! and will call out Smart on this BS!!!!!!

And its astounding that you completely fail to understand the role of an nba coach.

haha
well, actually Keith Smart is doing a great job in his role that he was given by the Maloofs. sabotage the team, kill the fans enthusiasm, and kill the attendance.

You don't see a problem with playing a midget roster in the NBA?

Of course I do. I also see a problem where the entire team can't make wide open jump shots. This forum acts like Smart is the entire problem when he's only a portion of it. Lack of shooting is destroying this team's offensive flow

Chill out. Isaiah had like 5 wide open jumpshots that he just bricked. Chuck Hayes had a layup that he missed (surprise surprise). Marcus has missed a couple of easy ones. Cousins got taken out on BS call. We'll get it going in the second half. Relax.

dude open your eyes! despite the team not shooting well, they were freaking winning the entire first quarter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! then came Smarts brilliant subs, and look what happened from there

Smart can't make wide open shots for us. It's astounding how you guys can blame him for anything

The team is missing open shots, but there's no reason to play Outlaw at this point. Spurs got control of this game once Outlaw and Cisco were in. The offense also broke down at the same time.

Who has said he is the entire problem? Do you not see all the posts about how bad Tyreke is? How terrible Johnson is? How small Hayes is? How terrible IT has been. How useless Garcia and Outlaw are. How great of a ball handler Jimmer is? Open your eyes. People are hardly acting like Smart is the entire problem.

Wait. You're telling me, IT, Reke, Brooks, Cisco, Outlaw shooting 3-20 in the first half has something to do with why we're losing?

Bologna. All I hear out of the "non-moron" fans is how terrible Smart is at life. It would not matter if Phil Jackson or Greg Pop were coaching for us tonight. We aren't going to win when we're our core offensive scorers are 4-24 combined

Who in their right mind would think IT/Jimmer/Reke/Outlaw could defend the Spurs? Who in their right mind would put Jimmer on Manu. Who in their right mind when the momentum has swung and we were down and SA was getting any shot they wanted, would bring in an IT/Jimmer backcourt? Who in their right mind wouldn't have Chuck in there instead of Outlaw at PF?

Yeah we missed shots, but our coach is in no way putting this team in the best position to succeed.

I do not subscribe to all the Smart hate going on, but I do have to acknowledge the fact that even having a lineup of IT, Reke, Brooks, Cisco and Outlaw ON THE FLOOR is arguably the biggest reason why we're losing.

No, what you hear is how terrible he is at managing roles/playing time/rotations, which he is. And those things have a huge impact on how individual players and their teams perform. Most of us don't give a flying ^&*% how much he sucks at life.

ok, the fact that you are still defending Smart to this level, means something has got to be going on behind the scenes. either your related to Smart, or your being payed by the Maloofs to help cover up the fact they are trying to tank this team to make relocation easier

And the starters did nothing when they got back into the game. Smart's rotations absolutely need to improve. Reke, Cousins, and IT should have been in the game 2 minutes sooner than they were. But I refuse to blame Smart when we're losing this game because no one on the damn team can make a jumper

Was Mike Brown just canned because the Lakers were simply missing shots? Is that how it works? No further analysis needed?

You're stepping very close to the line on the "don't be a jerk" and/or "don't insult other posters" rule. You can find ways to disagree without venturing into personal insults, etc.

any other NBA coach in the league would have this team at probably 4-1 right now. being that they ALL have a decent concept of how to manage a rotation. even Mike Brown

I agree. Which is funny because everyone decided to jump down my throat. But Smart's not the sole reason we're sucking tonight. We're right back in this game if the atrocious shooting picks up

Nah, they have been planning it since the offseason. That's why they hired Theus as their D-League coach... so they could bring him up after they found a way to get rid of Brown!! We learned first hand how wonderful Theus is, so don't go and try to poke any hole is my theory!!!! ;)

then explain how they won the first quarter. even though none of them can make shots?

lol sorry. i thought it was obvious that i was joking, since both of those scenarios are very far fetched

Mike Brown was fired because the Lakers are held to an incredibly high standard this season. They cannot afford slow starts or waiting to start winning
