Spencer Hawes upper body strength

I definitely agree that he has put on some muscle however he is flexing in on picture and just standing there in another picture....not exactly a fair comparison.

Yeah, try and get 2 pictures where he is standing the same or something. But he probably has put on some muscle.

Damn guys. are you serious. try to find pictures of Spencer standing in the exact same position a year ago as well as recent. Well just watch the games I guess.

lol.

I see what your saying dude. The great thing is hes still super young. I really hope this kid lives up to my expectations.

He is or isn't that man at this point, and i wouldn't speculate that hawes even has upperbody strength to date. Alright, he might be a mini-freight train, but thats relative. He is a work in progress like being 1% done with a job.

In case you didn't read it last fall, Spencer worked very hard last summer and got his body fat percentage way down and put muscle on. Still, he's only 20 years old. I would say he could look a lot different 2-3 years from now.

Imagine the skillset of Hawes with the insane athleticism and body of Dwight Howard. Now I'd like to have that

Ok, let's not get too excited here.
If you're Dwight Howard and can already score 20ppg on 57% shooting, at the age of 23, what skills of Spencer Hawes' would you have a use for? A few more post moves? A three point shot that you'll hit 35% on and pull you away from the basket where your overwhelming strength is at - offensive rebounding and finishing/drawing fouls in the paint?

Spencer naturally will put on 15-20 lbs as he grows into his body. How many people look at 25 like they did at 20? The increased weight will help his rebounding and there isn't any reason why Spencer shouldn't average 10+ rebs a game for the majority of his career. He will also get better at opperating out of the post with added time and muscle. Eventhough I see Spencer as a 15/10/4 type of player down the road, I don't see him being a real force in the paint. Presence yes, force no.
