So is Ray McCallum the #2 PG now?

Not sure this needs its own thread, since the speculation about the PG rotation is already being discussed...

Both Jimmer and McCallum struggled tonight but short minutes in that pressure cooker of a game made it tougher. PDA has more moves up his sleeve so lets see.

For now Isaiah is the #1 and #2. I would like to see how Ray does with Cuz, DWill, JT, McLemore though, hard to gauge him when he was thrown into garbage minutes. Jimmer needs to be agressive, he just looked passive out there, your main threat is your shot, establish that and things will open up for you.

McCallum looks like a better option than Jimmer in his short stint, but time will tell. He's much quicker so he should be able to beat a full court press and hold his own on the defensive end.

Hard to say.. McCallum didn't try to run the offense at all, and got picked twice. I will say this - if the plan is to throw PG#2, Thornton, Williams, Outlaw, Gray or basically a lineup that doesn't have either Gay/Cousins/JT in it, then the better option is to go for McCallum, who has a more confident handle and will probably look to drive and dish more. I actually think Jimmer would probably be at his best in a starting role playing off of Cousins and Gay, because he plays good team ball and will stay out of their way while helping to space the floor together with McLemore. This allows IT to come off the bench with Williams against the opposing bench, and we shouldn't lose any momentum at all. Best balance this way IMO.

Jimmer just looked awful tonight, but I think he can do better. It looks like he has lost all confidence which is understandable.

Garbage time minutes for Ray was a start...looked a little tentative until he got picked then got pissed and hit the jumper. Malones going to have to throw him in there so he can get comfortable.
