bibbys gonna play the worst game of his career today, his gonna suck so bad his gonna hit like 2 of his 40 attempts from the field his gonna have 20 turnovers as well...
I'm happy about our win, but then I think about how horrible it is for Chris to lose day by day, he looks so depressed on that team... poor guy.. and plus he still has a one-year contract with the Sixers. He has to get out of that trap..
It is a major factor -- that team is totally demoralized and demoralizing, and Webb is playign like it. Or not playing. KG doesn;t have the same fire right now either -- jsut beaten down. Same thing happened to TMac a few years back. We saw it with Peja last year. Athletes are people too, and how they feel about their situation absolutely bleeds over into their game. Barring a buyout, which is possible depending on how much Webb is willing to give up, he's probably stuck there for another 18 months though. There may be teams looking to pick up his $20mil ender next year, but the Sixers will probaly want to hold onto it for their own cap space. Would imagine he'll go sign with some contender after that and try to pick up that late career consolation ring. Just hope it isn't with the Lakers ala Mitch.
Wow, Geoff did the right thing dumping Webber for whatever he could get.
As for Jason's last second 3. Remember he is "playing for himself". He is still on the brink of being forgotten when he enters FA next year. I can't really blame the guy.

That shot isn't going to endear him to anyone. What most likely happened is he actually thought time had expired and was just making one of those "after the game" shots some players seem obligated to take. Unfortunately, he couldn't even get that part right and actually shot before the buzzer. The result was a last little insult to a group of guys that were already thoroughly beaten.

This post really gives a person a great idea of how bad the sixers are, and how bad Jason Hart is. Anyway yeah I bet Muss doesn't play him next game, that was pretty classless for him to shoot the 3 when his team's up by 19 or something against a team that's 7-21. That is the kind of demoralizing thing you just don't do IMO-unless it's the lakers.

Yeah but now his agent can say he shot 50% from three this season.
I think he knew what he was doing. He came out and said he is going to play for himself when he gets the time for craps sake! The strange thing is, he really is playing pretty good when he gets on the court. Ah, the power of a contract year.
