we can sign Marvin Williams

get rubio IF he declares

then trade the second rounder and houstons first rounder to move up to the top 15-20s so we can draft Mullens

so...

Rubio/Udrih
Martin/Garcia
Marvin Williams/Nocioni
Jason Thompson/Greene
Hawes/Mullens

then just fill the spots with undrafted potential...

Just out of curiosity, but why Marvin Williams? I keep hearing his name pop up when it came to Free agency. What does he bring that the Kings need? I guess his numbers are pretty solid and he is only 22 years old. I'm not too familiar with his game so if anyone could elaborate I'd appreciate it. :D

He;s a solid young player. 6'9", and gives you 14/6 on 45% fg shooting. He's a quality prospect, but doesn't fill our biggest needs. Not a pg, not a shotblocker, only 35% from 3, and not a good passer. I really don't know why anyone would want to throw money at him right now. We have bigger concerns on this team, and I would rather see what Donte can do, since I think he has more potential than M Williams.

throwing money at MW is just that. I like his 6'9 frame, but he would retard jason thompson's developement because quite frankly he would be ahead of JT on the depth chart. Marvin would be a great sign, for any amount of money, but, we could draft a better player for less money. Marvin has LA or NY written all over him, and it would be fruitless to get into a bidding war for a guy who is a 3rd option ala lamar odom. is he worth 8-9 million per, yes, would he play his hardest in a kings uniform, no. Lets get a guy who still has to earn that fat contract.

...

if we offer him decent money and certainly he will play the starting 3 (since Nocioni can and will be willing to play back up roles) The problem is Donte's minutes will surely suffer but if we force him to play PF minutes we know he can create mismatch at that position not all 4s can and are willing to guard the 3pt line
