I know that there is a general thread on this already, but I wanted to see an unscientific poll. The question is simple....

Should Bra_ Miller get booed for his comments about Kings being "typical fairweather fans". Me personally, if it was Chris Webber, ya'll would be booing on the way to the game, at the game, and after the game. That is how much of a double standard there is in this town.

With that said, as deplorable and misguided his comments were, I do not believe one single player should not be booed by the home crowd. It is hypocritical and very disingenious. Because the minute he throws down a dunk, we all are jumping out of our seats. I do believe in my heart, that Bra_ will have his best game of the season tommorrow. Because that is how athletes roll. They thrive in emotion. And this is the most emotional time in recent memory.

No one should be booed, but that is just me. I do think there are plenty of fair weather fans surrounding the Kings, as there are with any team. Brad should not have mentioned that, however. We would all rather think we would stick with them through thick and thin. It is clear to me, however, that some of our fans want winning and only winning. No more is it about the love of the game. Bah!!!

Kinda cannibalistic to boo him over that I think. These are tough times - lets hold our heads up and act like the best fans in the NBA, not yokels.

Booing is counterproductive. I understand why people do it though. It's frustrating to see such an unprofessional and lackadaisical display. It's much easier to stick with a team through the good times and the bad if they're always giving close to 100%. The Spurs loss was much easier to swallow. In fact, I liked the effort more than some of the wins. When we started 1-4 last year, I wasn't worried at all. The heart and desire was there and that's all the reason I need to cheer.

Booing doesn't help any situation imo. Should we be allowed to boo?.... ofcourse but that doesn't mean that we should. Think about it, if say you are at work and after subpar performance on one of your assignments, the entire office starts to boo you... how would you feel. I don't believe in that whole "it comes with the territory" crap. Just because the players get paid obscene amounts of moolah, doesn't excuse the fact that they are human beings with emotions just like you and me. But that's just me.

I have got a better idea. When Brad is introduced tomorrow, lets all give him the most boisterous longest standing ovation we can muster. This will do two things. It will fire up the team and for those of you who thinks that Brad needs some sort of 'punishment' for saying/not saying what he did/did not say, it will make him think that you are being sarcastic and your point will be taken. Did any of this make sense?

^^^ Umm unless you been on some other planet...... he's the guy that is supposedly our "Pout" Center that usually hangs out in the high post, lately with a bra and skirt on. Get with it Mr Citrus.;) :D

That is one disturbing mental image:eek:

My apologies..... But if you thought that was bad, in another thread I had Mike Bibby in his boyscout uniform and Peja in a tutu singing "Hero"- by Enrique Iglesiais. Apologies again.

Even with his poor performances, I honestly don't blame him for being pissed. It's hard to be happy with the fans when you know they are talking about getting rid of you behind your back.

and he should be banned from posting here for ever.... FOR EVER I SAY...

I have never seen players who play hard and do their best get booed. If a team or player gets booed, they deserve it.

IMO the reasons fans boo some players:

#1 Lack of effort
#2 Shooting too much
#3 Making several dumb turnovers
#4 Being a jerk on and/or off the court
#5 Being an arch-nemesis of the home team

Wow, always great to see Kings fans resorting to sexism, insults and general stupidity because they had their wittle feelings hurt. Nope. No fairweather fans around here.

I only boo a TEAM's on the court performance.......not a PERSON's off the court momentary lapse in judgement..................unless he's Kobie Bryant.......

nbrans wins the thread.

No, I don't think he should be booed. Brad is the type of person who will say something like that in the heat of the moment or out of frustration. So I don't think he really meant anything by it.

Well, in all fairness, Brad's quote at the top of the Kings' official website says:

"Our fans are worth their weight in gold. If we could take them on the road we would."

Apparently so y'all could boo the home team? :)

Well if Brad wrote that quote himself I will eat his sweaty headband. ;) Some front office boob looking to be cute with all of those "gold" quotes.
