Hall of Famer
I just learned that with the S&T of Rashard Lewis that they (Seattle) now have a 9.5 million dollar trade exception that has to be used within 1 year or they lose it. I also learned that they want some VETERAN scoring help with Durant and Green. Now this is where we come in.

Mike Bibby to seattle

Johan Petro and Luke Rindour to us. Both are expiring and the salaries matchup with the 9.5 mil trade exception. In other words we get 9.5 mil in cap relief.

I'm sure they'd just love to do us a favor.

I don't think there's anyone out there we'd want to spend big free agent dollars on this summer, and doesn't Bibby come off the books next year anyways??

I kinda always thought that if we traded Bibby it should be either packaged with a bad contract like KT/SAR or we should get a young talent/draft pick back... If it's just for expirings what's the real purpose behind it since he is expiring next year.

If we were to trade Mike Bibby for Luke Ridnour and Johan Petro, we would be doing Seattle a favor, not the other way around.

I think they'd rather keep their two young inexpensive players rather than take on an expensive veteran that doesn't fit into a rebuilding team like them. They traded Ray Allen for a reason.
