Cleveland is openly shopping Wally worlds (expiring contract) for some help for Lebron. In fact it was rumord they inquired about Ron-Ron. So here is an idea to give them some help for Lebron.

Kings send
John Salmons
Kenny Thomas

Cleveland sends
Wally Szerbiack

Why well if we keep Ron or trade him for another SF we don't need John coming off the bench. He is not a bench player Garcia is. we also shed the contract of KT therefore we don't have to include him in the Artest trade which might make it easier ( I like the Gerald Wallce trade).

Why Cleveland does it. The have went 3 years now with no help at the SG spot for Lebron. Salmons is good defensivley and when he gets to rim he finishes and has worked and is still working on his outside game. They Get a little more athletic with KT being a big man for them. Z is getting older and slower as is Big Ben. Varejao can't hold the fort down by himself and Joe Smith is not the answer. They will shed the contract of KT for 2010 and will have money to re-sign Lebron.

Kings Lineup

Beno/Singletary/Douby
Martin/Garcia/Douby
Artest or Wallace/Garcia/Szcerbiack
Moore/Thompson/Williams
Miller/Hawes/Moore

Now that we have shed the contract of KT and Salmons this leaves us with even more money for next offseason and the next.2010 players under contract

Beno
Singletary
Martin
Garcia (extension)
Thompson
Hawes

We should be 20 to 30 mil under the cap and be able to sign 2 of the main FA that year. Unless we do get Gerald Wallce then we would still be over 20 mil under the cap.

why would the cavs want that when they could have artest? thats a dumb move... artest/thomas for szczerbiak sounds way better...

Well, L J plays the SF position, as does Artest. I suspose that L J could move over to the SG position, but he's better suited for the SF position. Therefore Salmons makes more sense because he can play the SG position or the SF position.

This trade just makes the cav's more mediocre. They need an impact player not big salaries.

More mediocre. Meaning more than now? How can actually having a decent player at the 2 be more mediocre than who they have now?

WE aren't trading Ron for Wally. It seems GP actually wants something he can use for Artest not just an expiring. If that was the case well Artest is an expiring himself so why not keep him.

How about this Trade:

Sacramento Trades

Ron Artest
Brad Miller
Second Round Pick

Cleveland Trades

Zydrunas Ilgauskas
Wally Szerbiak
First Round Pick

Why for cleveland?

this gives them the scoring Help that Lebron oh so needs..artest can help lock down the other teams offensive star, while brad miller provides that mismatch with centers with his shooting and passing.. his passing will complement the open shooters like Gibson,

while sacramento gets a huge expiring with Szerbiak a potential first rounder and some inside D from Big Z

so we get an expiring. which we already have with Artest. And one of the only guys slower than Miller. This helps us in now way. I don't want to trade Artest just to be trading him. I would like to get something out of it or else don't do it.
