Ronnie Price

do the trade then start price for the last 29 games see what hes really got. off season go for blake or mo williams. I wouldnt mind drafting Bobby brown hes had some good games. can shoot the long ball.

I like it!!!! He is quickest guy on team, fearless (sort of a really young BJax) and seems to be able to penetrate and distribute. Needs to learn to distribute more but it may be the only way to see what he can do in a season that is #8 spot at best and lottery most likely.

I wondered how long it would be before THIS came up:D...well, THIS Bobby Brown kinda reminds me of Bobby Jackson, or Ronnie Price for that matter, he's an energy guy, and is a shoot first PG. Would be a good guy off the bench, and could get him in the 2nd round, if we could acquire a pick in the 2nd round, since we dont have one. Hey...if we wanted him, we'd be 'On Our Own' to 'Rock Wit' Him', and it would definetely be 'Our Perogative' to draft him, and that would be 'Good Enough'.

Although I hate losing, I really would love for the Kings to start Price, and also play Williams more if we can unload Bibby and SAR. Gooden would start at PF and K9 can just rot on the bench for all I care!

I love Price, man I just cannot get that dunk over Boozer out of my head, that was just way beyond anything I thought he could do. I cannot believe it wasn't highlighted before the slam dunk contest this past All Star weekend when they showed the best slams. Man for a PG to dunk that powerfully over a big bad Boozer and basicly have his knees at Boozer's throat level and drop Boozer was just "Priceless"!!!! Man now if that isn't a shirt I don't know what is....oh crap I just gave away the $$$ by spilling that one!!! :p

Um, ok, but what does being able to dunk have to do with playing PG, or even being in the NBA?

absolutely not. we cannot afford to be starting a scrub while we're trying to get the final playoff spots.

So u guys are saying we should try to lose?

No, you play your *** off to win every game.

But if we are TRULY looking to start winning in the future (you know, winning with a goal in mind bigger than the 7-8 spot in the PO every year), then we need to develop young guys for the coming years. That means PT, and no better time than the present. If that results in a few more losses this year, so be it.

What we cannot be doing is trying to get the final playoff spot.

And yet, with the paradoxical nature of the Kings, it wouldn't surprise me if we lost all of the remaining games and still made it into the playoffs. The universe has a cruel sense of humor...

That is ridiculous!!!!! lololololol

Oh and on starting Price... I say anyone who dunks on a top powerforward in the league like that, and still Dunk of the Year IMO deserves more minutes...

Now lets see some trades I'm getting impatient!!!!!

I really have no idea why people are wanting the kings to lose...Once a team thinks that losing is alright, it is very hard to get back into the winning mindset. They need to go ahead and try to get the 8th playoff spot then trade whoever and send them to summer league and let them work as a team in the offseason...Now is not the time to be losing...Ask any Athlete if they think losing is fun or if they want to be known as one of the worst teams in the league...Losing isnt the answer for this franchise right now.

You're misunderstanding the point of most of this.

Right now, this is not a good team. Period. One of the best opportunities to improve the team is for us to get a decent lottery pick.

We aren't rooting for the team to not try and win. What we're saying is now is the time for TPTB to play the youngsters, give them experience and - as a result - lose more games than we might if we played our vets to the max.

Getting the 8th playoff slot would be about the worst possible scenario. It's good enough for us to be embarrassed in the first round but bad enough so that we lose any kind of decent shot at a good player in a draft that is supposed to be very good.

A lot of us have been Kings fans since the very beginning. We've seen the Kings wallow in the depths of the league and we certainly are not rooting for them to return to such a miserable place. But, on the other hand, we've also seen them approach the very pinnacle of the NBA and we certainly would like to see the front office taking the steps that might make it easier for a return to those days.

I'm tired of being first round cannon fodder. And at a 7th or 8th seed that's all a team really is. I don't want to be stuck in mediocrity and that's where we are right now. Patch jobs have failed to to do anything, but make us worse over the last couple of years. The likelihood of trading for a bonafide, young star in the making is almost nil.
