Kings Trade:
Beno Udrih
Andres Nocioni
Sixers Trade:
Elton Brand
Why the Kings do it:
While Noc and Beno have been great for the Kings this year, we have younger cheaper depth at both of their positions with Greene and Omri at the 3 and Sergio at the backup 1/2. This gets rid of both of our longest, largest contracts for a guy who is probably harder to move but is a proven low post scorer in the league. It's a gamble, but a small one. If Brand returns to form it's a steal. If he doesn't we are stuck with his big contract (which we would've been stuck with via Beno and Noc)
Why the Sixers do it: They're actively shopping Brand, they're thin on PG depth, and they get two contracts that might be more moveable than Brand.
