Ranadive Interview

Thanks for the links!

The more I see, the more I'm convinced the great God Naismith has finally smiled down on Sacramento and all Kings fans. :)

It is hard for me to say, but this guys vision is far beyond my vision of the Kings... I am excited about what changes he will be making!

He has, once before.....But the greedy men who call their lair "City of Angeles" stole that blessing.

I really hope that he “walks the walk”. Everything he says makes him sound like he will be the savior of Sacramento. I might even name my next kid Vivek if he accomplishes 1/2 of what he says...

Having now read several good articles about him, along with snippets of his books, I do not think Vivek Ranadive is prone to making comments he does not feel he can follow through on.

=D

Gosh, getting more and more excited...

1. Tyreke highlights --> Keep Tyreke?? :D
2. Kings exhibition games in India --> India <3 Sacramento --> Global love? :O
3. Mobile Kings app? So futuristic :D Hopefully there aren't any privacy concerns with it.. it seems to have mentioned a lot of features that track your position and stuff. Hm?

People are demanding of him.. at the Malone conference there was a Sacramento reporter annoying him about the future size of the team's payroll.. As far as I'm concerned, after stepping in and saving the team by being a managing partner of a group that payed a ridiculous valuation, he has the right to a decade's worth of wrong moves.

Really glad he's doing interviews like this so more people get what this is all about. I kinda became a Vivek junlie when his name first came up. I now suscribe to the tibco youtube channel for example. I say with no sarcasm or hyperbole, he will make the Kings the most loved team in the world while simultaneously catalyzing Sacramento into a global city. Sac is sooooooo about to go boom. I urge every single Kings fan to try to truly comprehend what his software does. It is wholly revolutionary.

It's an app you would sign up for, with part of the terms and conditions of use outlining what data they're collecting, how they'll use it, etc. much like virtually everything else out there today. I'd imagine there would be privacy settings and options.

Do a little reading about TIBCO and the types of apps Ranadive has already developed. :)

Exactly! I had no idea of the scope and current use of his software until I started reading about him. We are truly blessed to have him focus his creativity on Sacramento and the Kings. Good things are on the horizon. :)

Might be easier for some:

Yeah, good idea. I had trouble getting the clips to start on the KCRA website.

I wasn't at all surprised to hear he had designed his house himself. This is a man who envisions what he wants and then sees that it becomes reality...

Also, how much time for work has he had in the last three months? From the time he joined the group until now, frantically searching for front office personnel amongst a million other things going on?

I have a lot of faith in Vivek. Still, I think we mustn't forget that there are a couple of other equally intelligent businessmen who own teams that haven't been doing that well, so I don't think it's wise to assume that with Vivek at the helm we will become a championship calibre team. There are so many other factors involved in having a winning team that are not necessarily in the control of the owner. What I think fans CAN expect is creativity like you said, and that the organization will flourish as a business. That's good for Sacramento as a city.

All that said, I'll take a brilliant self-made billionaire over a bunch of playboys with no business sense any day.

I'm not to the point where I'm even thinking "championship calibre" team. I'm happy right now with not thinking "sucking, no future, on the way out" team.

I am, by nature, a positive person. It feels good to be thinking positive thoughts about the Kings again. I was a fan before the good years because they were my Kings. I was a fan after the good years, even though it got harder and harder as everything I had always loved about the team slowly seemed to be sucked away. Right now, at least, being headed back in the proper direction is more than enough for this Kings fan. I'm not going to be greedy. ;)

What he says in the second video from 2:30-2:48 is actually pretty scary as far as privacy concerns go. I wouldn't recommend getting that app.

Without this dissolving into a discussion of privacy concerns, people share that kind of information a lot more than they realize already. As with any app, the prudent course is to read the terms and conditions carefully.

The most prudent course is to carry your phone around in a little lead lined case so no signal can get in or out until you want to break it out. :p
