That would be awesome..I also think that would make a huge statement. Let's do it, lol.
Peopole actually have to show up to these things in order to make a statement! Come out, support the team! I will be there for about an hour before prior commitments require me to leave. But I will be taking my 8 year old with me as well.

This!

I'll be there!

For anyone going, parking is a flat $5 flat rate after 5 pm at the City parking structure on I street, right across from CC park.

Unless you're there early, I expect the City Hall garage (across from the park) will be difficulat to park in. So will a lot of the close by street parking. There are other public parking garages within a couple of blocks. See map at:

http://www.cityofsacramento.org/transportation/dot_media/parking_media/pdf/Off_Map.pdf

(Click on the blue tag for the garage and you'll see rates and hours. Note: they may change rates for "special events")

If you can use light rail, can get off the LR just a block from the park. Remember, there will be people driving into town to go to this, just as the mass exodus out is going on.

50,000? I'd love to make that kind of statement. I'm taking vacation time off to be there and hope I can get the family to go with me.

Light Rail def works well for this. I've gone to several events at Cesar Chavez Park and Light Rail is my number one choice.

Wow. Watched the live feed pretty much the whole way through. That was a pretty impressive show. On the stage and off.

And I'm going to say this, Maloof haters be damned, that was a GREAT showing by Gavin and Joe. No doubt they are finally getting some good PR coaching. In addition to saying the right things, they (were allowed?) showed their passion again (their strength). Go TMBO!!!

And... PERFECT for KJ and the Maloofs to come out together, at the crescendo of the rally.

Just got home and all I can say is wow. Great night, great crowd, and, or course, the greatest fans in the world. C-Webb's video message blew the lid off of 6.5k+ Love it.

I just got home too and I'm really psyched. That was tremendous performance by Gavin - as far as I'm personally concerned the hatchet is good and buried... now lets build us an arena!

I'm really blown away by how well Gavin sold it... when he talks it almost seems like nothing ever happened. Joe isn't selling it so well but you can tell he's trying. And the way he got spun around in the air by Mayor Johnson might have shook him back into love with Sacramento... I got my eye on you Joe.

But all in all - that rally was just off the hook. Great to see Pollard Christie and BJax.

I was only able to go for the first hour but had a good time. Took my 8 year old. Shook Doug's hand and he signed a basketball for my son. Got within 10 feet of Scot but he was heading the other direction and we had to split.

When you look back, it was pretty ridiculous what games were like at Arco from the mid 90's through 2003/4. That 10-12 year stretch most games were like playoff games.

When Grant was recounting his favorite moments, his number 1 was the first playoff game in Arco in 1995 vs. the Sonics. It was mine as well. I was lucky enough to get tickets on the baseline and my buddy and I lost our voices an hour before the game started. You could not have any kind of conversation. To date, it is the single most impressive display by a crowd I have ever witnessed. I am sure that game did permanent hearing damage and I am OK with it. My ears rang for a day and a half after that game.
